Great guide and fun cooking experience. A nice drive through town and very interesting exhibition on local cuisine and the ability to take part in food preparation.

I took the panoramic tour along with the cooking class. I have been to Amman many times and on the driving tour a learned even more about Amman. The driver (Raed) was flexible with what we saw and shared his personal family history in Amman. The cooking class was a lot of fun. The hosts were excellent and provide all of us the opportunity to interact and be part of preparing and cooking the meal. And the meal was amazing. They even let me take the leftovers as takeaway. I was glad that I did the tour and class.

Friendly hosts, inclusive but not onerous participation. Food was delicious. Transfer driver courteous and punctual.

I had booked this several weeks ahead, and provided a credit card that I later canceled because of fraud on the account. I didn't remember that the charge for the cooking class had not put through already, and the first time I knew there was a problem was the day before class was scheduled when I got an email saying the reservation was cancelled. I quickly called the local tour operator to provide a different card to pay for the class and was told it was too late, that I had cancelled the class myself. Then they offered an alternate explanation: that my sister (whose name they had because Viator asked for it when I made the booking) had made a separate reservation (she had not) and that she had canceled the reservation (she had no communication with them at all). Given my quick response to their email, and the two different reasons they gave for the cancellation, I was suspicious when they told me I couldn't rebook because the class was full. My guess is they got a bigger group booking their space and could make more money off them, so they canceled us. I called Viator, and they responded promptly but were unable to solve the problem. We were not able to attend the cooking class, but weren't out any money. Given some other complaints on TA about this local tour I thought I would alert people to the problem we had with it.
Alert about what exactly! Your comments are out of context and by far way out reality and given facts. We did have two bookings with 2 separate locators and names, that you confirmed over the phone and you cancelled one booking and the other booking we had to cancel due to the fact that you did not reply back promptly. When you received the cancelation you called us and we explained that due to your lack of reply we had to cancel, and it was already too late and unfortunately you could not rebook again. You received full refund for both bookings immediately.
I booked this because I thought it was a half day cooking class. It was actually a one hour cooking demonstration, not a class. Basically a driver took me to the citadel and I had to pay to get into the citadel. Then the driver took me to the restaurant for the one hour cooking demonstration, then the driver took me back to my hotel. This experience was not as advertised.
We are so sorry you did not like the tour; please note the experience as mentioned in this 3 hour duration includes round trip transfers and a panoramic tour of Amman without entrance fees. Also we contacted the class organizer and they told us they did the cooking class experience in full and not a demonstration.
Disappointing. Described as half day / 4 hours but in reality this was little more than 2 hours. Session got started late due to a photoshoot that was clearly over running. Participants were asked to help with the clearing up of previous session and setting up for our own session. Over the course of the session I chopped one chilli and crushed a clove of garlic. Hardly a cooking class. No recipes / methods provided. We were told these were available on the website but now I'm home and have checked this is not the case for many of the dishes offered that evening. The description states a dessert dish would be included in the lesson but this was not the case. Our hostess left us part way through the session to return to her family for the evening. We were left with a very charming Arabic lady who was very enthusiastic but had limited English. Essentially this was an expensive way to eat dinner without the added value of the described class. The transfer to and from was very efficient, comfortable and friendly. Overall though not value for money or a credible experience which was a real pity.

Please note the cooking class itself is 2 hours, we include the whole time from hotel pick up till drop off. Please note this has nothing to do with Zaid Tours services, as you mention that our driver was courteous and respectful. So please reconsider this as it should not be directed to ZTT.
