We had booked this tour about 10 months prior to our travels. Our reservation was confirmed at that time. About 2 weeks before our travels, I attempted to reconfirm our arrangements but after several attempts to reach by the website email and WhatsApp chat, I finally called. Carmen did re-confirm and then sent the name of our driver and pick-up location. The tour went as described. We did a short walk in the woods with the dog and his owner and saw how truffles are hunted. We all questioned if the truffles were “planted” for our benefit rather than actually hunted but I’m not sure that really mattered as we would have been disappointed if we found none. The cooking class involved learning to make pasta but the cooking and preparation was done in the kitchen away from us. Overall it was as described but I think the communication could have been better.

What a great way to spend a blustery winter day! We found 71 gm of black truffle, created delicious pasta, and enjoyed a beautiful lunch with new friends! Highly recommend!

Transportation from Florence can be provided. Everybody was courteous and helpful. We took a ride out of the city and into the mountains. The scenery was beautiful. The guide and the dog found multiple truffles. The pasta making class was fun and informative. Because a white truffle had been found recently, we were able to taste both white and black truffles. This is experience is definitely worth doing.

This was one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had. We did the truffle hunting, pasta making class, and then ate the truffles we found and the pasta we made. Alyssa was so sweet and amazingly accommodating and Mario (the chef) made us feel right at home. The lunch was honestly one of the best meals I have ever had. A once and a lifetime experience! Best to rent a car or order a ride in advance.

What an amazing day we had on our truffle hunt and cooking class! We spent two weeks in Italy and our day at Mugello&Tuscany was certainly a highlight. My mom (80) and son (24) and I were picked up by Carmen at the train station in Florence and driven to the most gorgeous farm about 45 minutes away. It was a little drizzly weather-wise but they even provided boots for everyone and raincoats! I was concerned about the walk for mom as she has some mobility challenges, but both our guide and our expert truffle hunter kept the pace manageable for her. And Gina the dog???? Adorable and such a good hunter! Brava Gina!!! We learned a huge amount and found loads of truffles to make lunch later. And lunch??? The cooking portion of this event was hands down the best cooking class I’ve been to (and I’ve been to many)!Our chef was spectacular, sharing techniques about pasta making that we didn’t know. We made gnocchi (which I thought I didn’t really like in the past) and he shared the proper way to cook it. I am now a huge fan. The class was well paced and incredibly fun in large part due to the warm and lovely personality of our chef! If o could give this experience 10 stars, I would. Book it now!

The whole day was a wonderful experience. From the truffle hunt with a super smart dog named Gina and her expert handler Claudio, to the pasta cooking class with Chef Lorenzo which we got to eat after the finishing touches by our host Alyssa. Everyone was very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. Our daughter had a lot of fun with Gina and loved getting her hands on the pasta dough. Truly recommended for anyone interested in learning new things and eat delicious food.

This was the most amazing experience we had in Italy! From the truffle hunting, to the pasta making, to the enjoyment of the amazing food!!! Gianni the Hunter, Achille the dog, Lorenzo the chef, and Alyssa the host made this experience a 10/10! As a dog lover, it was so special to see how well Achille is treated and trained, praised, and loved. As a lover of food and cooking, this experience blew all of our expectations out of the water. The hospitality was exceptional, the views superb, I literally cannot say enough. THIS IS ITALY!!! Highly recommend!

Genuinely an incredible and unforgettable experience. Worth the drive no matter where you’re staying, kind people and delicious pasta. From the truffle hunt to the coffee to the lunch it’s all done to perfection.

Our extended family had a wonderful day that began with the dog Gina and her trainer leading the truffle hunt. Adults and children were amazed by the dog's ability to find and uncover the truffles. Next Chef Julio led the pasta cooking class and helped young and old produce a delicious meal topped with the truffles we gathered. Alyssa served some delicious truffle bruschetta and was so inviting and helpful in every part of the day. Not just a 2 thumbs up but all agreed a definite 10.
