Esperienza culinaria a casa di un locale a Salerno con Show Cooking

Our hostess, Carmen and her mother were very sweet and gracious. Her home was lovely. She made some dishes that were uniquely Italian that we had never had the opportunity to try. She did most of the cooking but we were involved making a gnocchi type dish. We found out that Salerno is NOT a big tourist town and unlike other cooking excursions we have done, we were surprised that we were the only two doing this excursion. Although advertised that it was in Salerno, it was actually about a 20 minute drive out of the city to get there. She offered to pick us up and drive us back for 40 euro, because taxis don’t drive out that far, so we accepted. That was fine for us, but for someone who does not have an extra $50 just for transportation this would be an unexpected expense and you might need to rethink your selection. Carmen did not speak English but used a translator app to talk with us. She was a very sweet woman and we appreciated her effort to give us a most pleasurable experience.

BEST EVER! You should not miss this, the attention to your experience is unmatched. This was literally the highlight of my 9 days in th Mediterranean.

Sylvia was both a wonderful cook and host. If you want an authentic Italian meal where you are welcomed as family into her home, this is the experience for you! Anna nicely provided translation to English. She and Sylvia were absolutely delightful.

Our time with Antonia was wonderful. She made an amazing meal and we enjoyed our time with her. She let us try some apertifs her husband made and sent us back to our ship with some Limoncello. We are now trying to recreate the turkey / peas that she made for us. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon - it was perfect being inside while it was raining outside!

What an amazing experience. Carmen and Francesca’s cooking and their home was beautiful. They were such welcoming hosts. We loved getting involved with the cooking too. This is a must-do experience for anyone visiting Salerno for an authentic food experience.

Silvia was a great host her food was incredible. She and her family were welcoming and made us feel right at home. Everything she prepared was local and fresh including the wine and cheese . She shared local food history and even sent us recipes. If you are in Salerno do not miss this experience you will truly have an Italian memory to cherish

Our Cesarine, Ludovica, was the perfect teacher for our family. From first contact she was so caring and helpful. Her and her family are warm and welcoming. Ludovica taught us to make gnocchi and we had delicious appetizers, wine, and dessert. The view from her home is amazing. Such a wonderful experience and I will definitely make gnocchi at home

Dining with Siliva was a lovely experience. Entering her spotlessly clean and welcoming home was such a great opportunity to have a first hand insight into the culture of her Salerno home and family. We loved it! So much more enjoyable than going to a restaurant. Friendly, informative, and knowledgeable about local food and cooking practices was interesting. We opted to stay in the kitchen rather than the dining room - Where else would you want to be in an Italian's home? - the food and wine was terrific and we will enjoy using her recipes when we get home. We would highly recommend this experience.

Our host was very knowledgeable. I know I can now go home and cook gnocchi. Make a lemon anchovy sauce. Create wine with peach. I understand the area and the foods that come from this place. Our host was amazing. I highly suggest you book with her.

Carmen and family were amazing hosts, the dinner was superb and everything was homemade including the wine her mother makes! Outstanding time.
