The Mt. Abang hike was one of the most rewarding experiences of my Bali trip. The trail was peaceful, surrounded by lush forest, and the sunrise from the summit was absolutely stunning. Our guide was friendly, attentive, and made the hike enjoyable from start to finish. The private tour was well organized, and the breakfast after the climb was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this adventure to anyone who loves nature and hiking.

Everything ran smoothly, from hotel pickup to the return trip. The guide was knowledgeable and encouraging throughout the hike. I felt safe and enjoyed every moment.
Horrible. We were not able to get on top, although the we ate a sporty family, the conditions were not good to climb, it is not a simple hike it was mudy, rocky we needed to literally use ropes to climb. It was dangerous, our guide even fell! He did not even had appropriate shoes to climb. The only gear we were provided were some head lamps, i think it needed helmets. We insisted that the conditions were not ok as it was raining but the guide wanted to continue. I would love to get a refund.

As you mentioned, the weather in Bali’s mountains can be very unpredictable. On July 23 there was sudden heavy rain which made the trail extremely muddy, rocky, and slippery. Because of this, the hike became much more challenging than usual and required extra care, including using ropes in some sections. I understand this made the experience feel unsafe and uncomfortable for you, and for that we sincerely apologize. Regarding the equipment: we provide headlamps as standard for early treks. Helmets we not provided only available upon request, and after your feedback we will make this clearer in our pre-trip information. We are also conducting additional training for our guides regarding footwear and safety protocols in bad weather. This private Mt Abang hiking tour exceeded my expectations. Everything was well organized, from the hotel pickup to the summit experience.
