In questo tour, hai l'opportunità di visitare alcuni dei siti più interessanti come Devil's Bridge, la Foresta pluviale, oltre a vedere la bellezza dell'isola mentre attraversi alcuni villaggi pittoreschi, in rotta verso il Nelson's Dockyard National Park, sede del famoso Porto Inglese, e intitolato a Horatio Nelson che prestò servizio ad Antiqua nel 1700. Questo tour è unico in quanto dà una conoscenza diretta dell'isola dopo aver visitato il Centro di Interpretazione (se aperto) dove si può vedere e sentire la storia di Antigua e Barbuda.

Guida fino a Shirley Heights e passeggia per le antiche fortificazioni militari. È possibile visualizzare panorami mozzafiato a 360 gradi. Una vista spettacolare su English Harbour e Falmouth Harbour saluta i tuoi occhi e in una giornata limpida si possono vedere le vicine isole di Montserrat e Guadalupa.
Il cantiere ha preso il nome dall'ammiraglio Horatio Nelson, un ufficiale della marina britannica che ha vissuto in questo cantiere navale della Royal Navy dal 1784 al 1787. Completamente restaurato al suo splendore originale, gli edifici del XVIII e XIX secolo del Dockyard ospitano servizi moderni come negozi , hotel e attività marittime. Nelson's Dockyard offre molti siti e attività che i visitatori possono esplorare e divertirsi. Annidato nel parco è possibile visitare il Dockyard Museum, situato nell'ex Admiral's House. Il Museo presenta ai visitatori mostre riguardanti la storia del cantiere navale e l'attuale ricerca archeologica sull'isola. Il Copper and Lumber Store Hotel offre sistemazioni a cinque stelle ed è un luogo magnifico per occasioni speciali che si trova anche nel Dockyard. Mentre sei lì, visita i negozi di souvenir e le gallerie d'arte. Nelson’s Dockyard National Park, che contiene anche Clarence House e Shirley Heights, ed è l'unico sito del paese patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO.
Il Ponte del Diavolo è un vero e proprio ponte formato da migliaia di anni di antica formazione ed erosione della barriera corallina. Le onde dell'Atlantico si sono costantemente schiantate contro le rocce calcaree, creando nel tempo un arco naturale pieno di geyser e sfiatatoi. Le onde continuano a infrangere contro queste stesse rocce calcaree costiere, ed è uno straordinario fenomeno naturale.

As a solo female traveler, it is important to me to find ways to see different sites where I feel safe. This tour fit the bill. I was able to see various parts of the island and felt safe. In addition, there was just the right amount of time at each location. I didn’t feel rushed or that there was too much time waiting around. It was just right.

Blondell was awesome. She was very knowledgeable about the the island. She went above and beyond to make sure our experience was the best. She was able to make a quick stop at a pharmacy and found a store that had cut up pineapple 🍍, so we could try it. I would highly recommend the tour and Blondell.

What a fantastic excursion. Started out rocky because the instructions for meeting our Tour Guide were horrible. Spent about 45 minutes at the meeting location but no Pink Sign with our name. Ended up turning on my phone and we finally got connected. Viator needs to give better information regarding where to meet. That was the end of the negative. Met Michael in his Cadillac Escalade and off we went. He was a wealth of knowledge. We did circle the whole island and he had knowledge about every community. He was very accommodating with my hubby’s walker. Made sure we had a ramp, etc.

My husband and I took this tour a couple of weeks ago while on a cruise. Our driver, Benjamin, was outstanding. He took us all over Antigua, showing us so much of the island. My husband uses a wheelchair to walk distances, and Benjamin was so good about taking the chair in and out of the car. We went to Devil's Bridge and learned the history of the rock formation there. The walk down to see the bridge was really rough and rocky, but Benjamin patiently and carefully helped my husband get close enough to see the bridge. Then on Nelsons Dockyard where we saw amazing yachts and the historical naval yard. From there went to The Blockhouse Ruins and saw amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean. Our final stop was Shirley Heights with more amazing views. It was a great day, and Benjamin was very knowledgeable about the sites we saw. A great day all around! I would highly recommend this tour and especially Benjamin!

Driver answers to question was a simple yes or no. No narrative of the island. We had to ask all the question. Vehicle dirty

Broke car after 2 nd stop which was less then 50 % of the tour. Very old car and in bad condition. Driver was not able to solve the situation. No support from his office at all. Finally we organized a taxi back to our cruise ship by ourself. Still did not got reimbursed for the taxi fare back to the ship. Anyway a lost day in Antigua with very bad memories. Be careful if you wanna book a trip in Antigua. Your decision. Or let yourself guarantee that they use new cars. This was an axpansivw tour for 2 persons of more than 200 Euros
We sincerely apologize for the unfortunate experience you had during your tour with us which was totally beyond our control. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and we deeply regret that the vehicle's condition and subsequent breakdown disrupted your day in Antigua. This is not the level of service we strive to provide. As mentioned before, we had refunded you the amount we would have been paid from the VIATOR site along with the US$40 taxi fare. Total refunded was US$211.60. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused and hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide a much better experience.
