Volubilis è i resti di una città romana costruita sul sito di una città punico-berbera, che fu capitale del regno di Mauretania, situata nella pianura di Saïss, nel nord del Marocco, sulla riva del wadi Rhoumane, un fiume nella periferia di Meknes. Despite some periodic heavy rain, this was a great trip. Badr was an excellent driver who made sure that I understood the ins and outs of visiting the Volubilis ruins, the village of Moulay Idriss, and the city of Meknes. Badr was well-versed in English, and an engaging conversationalist. The highlights of the trip for me were the vast and picturesque ruins of Volubilis, and the gorgeous mausoleum of Moulay Isma’il in Meknes. A thoroughly interesting and enjoyable excursion.
