C'è anche un'opzione per aggiungere una visita al castello di cawdor per un costo aggiuntivo. Verremo a prendervi alla fermata del bus navetta (fermata 1) al porto crociere di Invergordon con un caloroso benvenuto nelle Highland, pronti per iniziare la nostra giornata alla scoperta delle bellezze delle Highlands scozzesi. La nostra Guida femminile vi incontrerà giù dal bus navetta con un cartello che mostra il vostro nome. Indosseranno pantaloni blu in tartan!
La nostra prima tappa sarà Culloden Battlefield. Cammineremo per il campo di battaglia mentre impareremo le atrocità avvenute qui il 16 aprile 1746. Le increspature della battaglia si fanno sentire ancora oggi nelle Highlands e la nostra Guida spiegherà con passione come ha cambiato per sempre la nostra cultura. Ti porteranno da un ottimo punto di vista e ti mostreranno dove si trovavano le truppe l'una di fronte all'altra prima che i giacobiti fossero massacrati. Ti verrà mostrato anche il cottage ospedaliero di fortuna, i marcatori delle tombe e altri punti di interesse prima di avere un po 'di tempo libero per assorbire l'atmosfera di questo sito storico inquietante. Ci sono servizi igienici in questa fermata per il vostro comfort.
La nostra seconda tappa è l'antico sito sepolcrale di Clava Cairns. Ammira questi cairn dell'età del bronzo e tocca le pietre in piedi mentre la Guida spiega come e perché queste strutture sono nate 4000 anni fa. Scopri come i vittoriani hanno romanticizzato e cambiato i paesaggi di Clava e immagina come era nel 2000 a.C. Cammina sulle orme delle antiche culture scozzesi e cerca di ricostruire insieme i misteri che si sono lasciati alle spalle.
La nostra Guida turistica locale ti farà fare un breve tour a piedi intorno al centro della città della loro città natale di Inverness (o Inversnecky come la chiamano i locali), compresi i siti storici, l'architettura, e il locatore conosce gemme e storie che solo la gente del posto conosce. Ammira il pub più antico, visita un sito dove i soldati giacobiti furono giustiziati dopo la battaglia di Culloden e goditi una splendida vista sul castello appena ristrutturato. Ti darai quindi del tempo libero per prendere un caffè o pranzare in un luogo a tua scelta. La nostra Guida, naturalmente, darà alcuni ottimi consigli. Non vogliamo che vi sentiate affrettati durante questa sosta e vi daremo il tempo di vivere veramente la città.
Guideremo fino alla costa orientale di Loch Ness, fermandoci alla splendida spiaggia di Dores dove potrai avvicinarti e ammirare uno dei suoi panorami più belli. Il tuo gruppo terminerà il tour con una visita alla Singleton Distillery. Qui potrete godervi un drink al bar e curiosare nel negozio di souvenir e nei pannelli informativi (Tour della distilleria non incluso)

Arriveremo nel nostro Tartan Trailblazer Minibus circa 10 minuti prima della partenza. Se venite prelevati al porto di crociera vi aspetteremo dall'altra parte della strada al semaforo. Avremo una bacheca con il tuo nome sopra e indosseremo pantaloni tartan blu brillante!

This was a FANTASTIC tour and I highly recommend it! We were a family of 11 ranging in age from 8 to 84 and one of our members needed to use a walker (rollator). Our driver and tour guide were so responsive to everyone’s needs. They surprised us with small Scottish treats along the way sampling cookies and soda we don’t have in the US. Our time off the ship was tight and they made sure we could visit everything we wanted to see. The kids in our group loved visiting the castles. My parents were so impressed with the tour guide and her knowledge. The driver was so kind and a fantastic driver on those small Scottish roads. And they both made sure to help my mom who has mobility difficulties. The value is likewise fantastic and definitely so much better than going through the cruise tours… cheaper and small group instead of on a giant bus. Thank you to Mags and Michelle for giving all of us an unforgettable day as a family!
The ladies were knowledgeable, friendly and very accomodating. The passion for their town and heritage evident with an array of interesting facts mixed with humour and stories. Felt like we were spending time with friends rather than a tour. Would thoroughly recommend!!! We were a family of 6 with ages from 16 to 83 and all we entertained the whole day. Great day ladies!!!!
Great tour! Finela and Michelle put on a very relaxed, informative almost complete tour despite our truncated schedule due to a passport inspection for our entire ship by the UK immigration force. Funny, down to earth, knowledgeable and passionately interested in the cultural and natural history of Scotland. Two thumbs up!
Michelle communicated with me and answered questions. She advised me on putting a proper itinerary together. Today she and Finella fulfilled our wish list. They were on time and had given us directions the day prior. Our group of 10 loved the attention they gave us. Finella shared wonderful history and personal stories. Michelle drove like a pro. I hardly ever leave reviews, but these guys are the best! I learned so much while they made history come alive and fun while seeing incredible places. We never felt rushed and they totally adapted to whatever we needed or wanted to do. I can or recommend them highly enough

We had the most amazing day!! Finella & Michelle are the best. From the minute they picked us up to drop off was so easy. Every stop explained and showed us what we wanted to see and more . We tried local goodies and got a close up and personal with some Highland Coos .We loved these two .

A fantastic experience! We are a Spanish family, and although most of us speak English, the team made a great effort to provide some explanations in Spanish during the tour. We were traveling with a 4-year-old kid, and they had a lovely gesture with her, which we really appreciated. They also kindly offered us some snacks along the way. Such friendly people who truly enjoy what they do — we would definitely recommend them!

What a great day! Everything was so easy with Finella and Michelle. They were friendly and personable from the very beginning, picking us up and taking us on a full-day tour.
