Itinerario

We spent a wonderful day with our guide Rakesh. He was very thorough and thoughtful managing our day efficiently. We started at the port with a timely pick up and immediately went to the mud pools to stay ahead of the larger tour groups. From there we went to the gardens, the Hindi temple and finished the day in Nadi with some retail therapy. He was an excellent and very personable host who kept us entertained with history, stories, and good conversation as we drove around the area. The private tour was perfect for our one day stay in Lautoka. I highly recommend this tour.
Bula Vinaka, Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review! We’re delighted to hear you had such a great day with Rakesh. It’s fantastic that he was able to plan your itinerary so efficiently, starting early at the mud pools and ensuring you enjoyed each stop comfortably, including the gardens, the Hindu temple, and your time in Nadi for some shopping. We’re especially pleased to know his stories, history, and friendly personality made your private tour even more enjoyable. Providing a smooth, personalised experience for cruise guests visiting Lautoka is exactly what we aim for. Thank you for your high recommendation, and we hope to welcome you again in Fiji. I booked this as a private tour for two people, and chose a starting time of 9am. A couple of days beforehand the time was changed to 9.30am (not a big issue), but on meeting Rakesh as arranged, he arrived in a minivan and was waiting for six other people (three couples) to join us. We were all expecting a private tour and pointed this out to Rakesh. After a discussion he made some phone calls and said that after the first stop we would each be given a driver. This happened, so we did eventually have a private tour, but we were the last couple to be allocated a driver. Our driver was friendly enough, but we got the feeling of being driven around rather being on a tour. It was a very disappointing experience for the amount we paid.
Bula Ken, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We sincerely apologise for the confusion and disappointment you experienced at the start of your tour. We completely understand how frustrating it must have been to expect a private tour and initially find yourself placed in a shared vehicle, especially after confirming a specific start time. This situation does not reflect the standard of service we aim to provide, and we regret that the arrangements were not correctly communicated or executed from the outset. While we are glad that the matter was resolved and that you were ultimately provided with a private driver as booked, we acknowledge that the delay and overall experience fell short of your expectations and did not deliver the value you deserved. Your comments have been taken very seriously and have been shared with our management and operations team to ensure clearer coordination and to prevent this from happening again in the future. Thank you again for your honest feedback. We truly appreciate it, as it helps us improve our services. We hope you will consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with the quality private tour experience we are known for. Vinaka vakalevu and kind regards, Golf Tours Fiji Team
Booked as a private tour, started out with 4 couples, all of whom also booked it as a private tour. Rakesh tried to explain that sue to being very busy he thought grouping together would be ok. Everyone was unhappy and at the first stop, Indian Temple, 4 separate cars were provided. However, these were just very ordinary vehicles, not very clean and provided no water etc. This was not what was envisaged and paid for. Our driver, Chitra, was very knowledgeable which did save part of the day. Visit to village was just a drive by and first landing point was just a restaurant and bar. All in all very disappointing and definitely not worth the money paid. Cannot reccommend.
Bula Robert, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologise for the disappointment you experienced, particularly as the tour was booked and paid for as a private experience. Grouping multiple couples together, even temporarily, was not appropriate and did not meet the expectations set at the time of booking. We fully understand your frustration and regret the poor communication and execution at the start of the tour. We are also sorry that the vehicles provided after the first stop did not reflect the standard expected of a private tour, including cleanliness and amenities, and that parts of the itinerary did not align with what was envisaged. This is certainly not the level of service we aim to deliver, and your comments have been escalated to our management team for immediate review and improvement. That said, we are pleased to hear that Chitra’s knowledge and professionalism helped save part of the experience, and we will be sure to pass on your kind words to her. Thank you again for your honest feedback, it is invaluable in helping us improve, and we hope you may consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide the quality experience our guests expect. Vinaka vakalevu and kind regards, Golf Tours Fiji Team
What a fantastic shore excursion! Shivaan picked us up right outside the pier gate. We enjoyed seeing the Nadi Temple, the Local Fruit Market and the Garden of the Sleeping Giant. But the best part of the day was relaxing in the Hot Springs. It is Fiji Time, no hurrys, no worries. Thank you for a great day!
Loved this tour, it is a family run business and they’re very professional and communicative. Got a lot done and I short period of time. I loved the mud bath the best. Highlight recommend
Our guide, Rakesh Chand from Golf Tours Fiji, was amazing. Rakesh arrived in a large, comfortable van with plenty of room for out group of five adults. Rakesh accommodated our group with close drop-offs at stops, and he tailored our tour due to weather conditions. This was a private tour with a very professional guide.
If you are looking for a half day excursion without the hustle and bustle of a crowded bus with fellow cruise ship passengers, then this is the tour to take. They go to all the great spots around Latouka and the surrounding area. The guides are fun and knowledgeable and deliver first class, personalized service. Highly recommend!
Great experience with this local, family-owned tour company. Very communicative, responsive and flexible. The car was very comfortable (including air conditioning) and we appreciated that our driver/guide, Madhu, made efforts to minimize our overlap with the tour buses and ensure we could set our own pace. Thank you to Rakesh for the great communication and logistics!
Madu (Sorry if I’ve spelt incorrectly), was our guide for the day. We’re were picked up from the port gates in a lovely clean Kia car that was thankfully air conditioned as it was over 30 degrees outside. The tour was booked as a private tour for just the two of us and we were pleased that this was the case. Madu pointed out lots of interesting things on our journey including landmarks and flora and fauna. We made many calls including the ‘first landing’ village, the Garden of the sleeping giant, the Hindu Temple and a farmers market. However, we opted not to go to the hot mud pools as we’d heard about a wonderful hotel called ‘First Landing Resort’ and we thought a visit here would suit us better and we could also grab a little lunch. As it turns out it was a great decision, it’s a beautiful place and the seafood chowder is just sublime! In total the tour was five hours long and we were dropped off right at the ship. If we’d have known how lovely the First Landing Resort was we’d have perhaps organised to stay there a little longer as there’s a beautiful beach there as well. All in all it’s been a lovely day. Thank you Madu, really happy to recommend your small family company to others.
Rakesh was very easy to communicate with and tailored the tour to my interests. After visiting the Viseisei Tribal Village and Sabeto Mud Pool Hot Springs, we had a delicious oceanside lunch at a local resort. He knew exactly what to order! We arrived back to the port promptly with time left for shopping. Enjoyed the day and highly recommend this tour!
