Ritiro hotel o Alloggio a Santa Marta. Incontra la tua Guida turistica locale certificata e l'autista, quindi inizia il trasferimento privato al Parco Nazionale di Tayrona lungo la strada che borders ai piedi della Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Durante il tragitto, la Guida spiegherà la regione, introdurrà brevemente il piano per la giornata e risponderà alle tue prime domande.
All'ingresso principale di El Zaino, la tua Guida certificata gestirà personalmente tutti i biglietti, l'assicurazione e la registrazione dei visitatori - non c'è bisogno di fare la fila. Durante questo periodo, sarai libero di usare il bagno, comprare snack o acqua o ritirare qualsiasi oggetto dell'ultimo minuto. Una volta che tutto è pronto, incontrerete di nuovo la vostra Guida e proseguirete con un veicolo privato nel parco, dirigendovi verso il punto di partenza dell’escursione: Cañaveral
Inizia la tua passeggiata ecologica attraverso il Parco Nazionale di Tayrona con un dolce tratto di sentiero di 4,5 km partendo da Cañaveral. Questa parte dell'escursione presenta sentieri ombreggiati nella giungla, camminamenti in legno e pendii dolci. Lungo la strada, godrai di una lussureggiante vegetazione tropicale, brezze oceaniche e la possibilità di avvistare scimmie, lucertole o uccelli prima di proseguire verso Playa La Piscina, una tranquilla e panoramica zona di spiaggia più profonda all'interno del parco.
Dopo aver superato la spiaggia di Arenilla, arriviamo a Playa La Piscina — una baia tranquilla e naturalmente riparata ideale per nuotare e rilassarsi. Questa sosta è anche un punto di decisione: si può fare un tuffo veloce, scattare foto o riposare all'ombra prima di continuare il tratto finale verso Cabo San Juan. Il percorso da qui al promontorio è di circa 1,5 km (0,9 mi), di solito richiede circa 30 minuti (per andata) a ritmo costante. Sta a voi decidere se rimanere qui più a lungo o proseguire per completare l'escursione completa.
Hai raggiunto Cabo San Juan, la spiaggia più iconica del Parco Nazionale di Tayrona. Il breve sentiero da La Piscina prevede un sentiero sabbioso e roccioso che conduce ad un belvedere panoramico che si affaccia su acque turchesi, sabbia dorata, massi di granito e giungla lussureggiante tutto in un unico scenario mozzafiato. Sta a te decidere se fare una nuotata rinfrescante, rilassarti sotto le palme, o semplicemente goderti il panorama e scattare foto prima di tornare indietro. Un piccolo chiosco è disponibile dove è possibile acquistare bevande o accedere ai servizi igienici (a proprie spese). Dopo aver goduto di questo punto, iniziamo l'escursione di ritorno verso La Piscina
Dopo aver visitato Cabo San Juan, torniamo a Playa La Piscina, seguendo lo stesso sentiero panoramico di ritorno. Questa baia tranquilla e riparata è un luogo perfetto per rilassarsi, nuotare o semplicemente godersi il panorama. Sta a voi decidere se fare un tuffo rinfrescante o utilizzare questo tempo per un pranzo opzionale a vostre spese. Alcuni viaggiatori scelgono di rilassarsi qui, mentre altri preferiscono mantenere un ritmo costante. Dopo questa pausa, proseguiamo sul sentiero verso Cañaveral per completare l'escursione di ritorno.
Iniziamo l'escursione di ritorno da Playa La Piscina verso il settore di Cañaveral, seguendo lo stesso sentiero ecologico al contrario. Questo tratto di 4,5 km richiede in genere meno tempo rispetto all'escursione di andata, poiché ci sono meno pause informative. Tuttavia, potremmo fermarci brevemente se avvistassimo scimmie, uccelli o altri animali selvatici lungo il percorso. Una volta raggiunta l'area di parcheggio, il tuo veicolo privato ti aspetterà - insieme all'acqua in bottiglia per rinfrescarti prima del ritorno a Santa Marta.
Dopo aver completato l’escursione, saliamo a bordo del veicolo privato in attesa al parcheggio Cañaveral per il viaggio di ritorno a Santa Marta. Questo è un ottimo momento per riposare, godere dell'aria condizionata, o semplicemente rilassarsi dopo una giornata intera di natura e avventura. Molti viaggiatori colgono l'occasione per fare un pisolino o riflettere sull'esperienza durante il viaggio panoramico di ritorno in città. Overall was a nice experience. Weather was perfect. Easy hike from the parking lot in the national park to the Cabo San Juan. Pick up was timely and flexible. I opted for an earlier 620am pickup. But can be whatever you decide with Cesar. Maybe I was lucky, got in on a Friday and it was very quiet and peaceful only seeing a handful while getting to the end point. The beaches and view were excellent and not that many people. Cesar was informative about the different insects/animals/birds and kept an eye open for monkeys. We saw bats, crabs, ants, rocks. Overall easy hike. Very convenient as the driver was waiting readily when we got back and didn't have to wait. When we arrived back at the parking lot it seemed like several people were waiting for the shuttle to get back to the gate..but in my case, the driver was there already which was nice. Overall was fun and got in safely in the park and to the destination and back to the hotel.... worth the $268 USD/pp? Maybe $200 would be better priced. I was solo so I did pay another premium, almost double. (Understood, TA or viator does charge a fee to these operators so thr markup has to be significant) Price paid is slightly pricey... Understood, the whole activity can be for 8-10hrs. Which on a per hour basis, makes sense... but one suggestion is perhaps to include the lunch and a drink as part of the cost (as this is only about 40k-50k COP ~ $12-15USD) But all was good. Can it be done on your own? Certainly,.. The cost of convenience does play into it... Cesar was great 10/10 though

Our family had a great time with Cesar last week on our tour of Tayrona Park. He met us on time at our hotel and drove us to the park and handled all of the entrance fees, etc. On the hike, he did a nice job of pointing out the local flora and fauna, and we enjoyed seeing everything from small bats to caiman to howler monkeys. He hiked at a pace tailored to our group, which allowed for us to spend some great time at two of the beautiful beaches in the park. After a relaxing afternoon at the beach, we were able to walk back a bit later than others and enjoy the amazing peace and natural beauty of the forest. It was a memorable day, and Cesar was a fantastic guide!

Where do I begin? We booked this experience less than 48 hours prior because we had a free day in Santa Marta and wanted to explore nature. I do not have enough space to convey our absolute gratitude for César and the unforgettable day he provided. We loved the day so much that we keep saying we would take 100 more tours with him. It is officially the greatest tour experience I've ever had, and we felt like we'd made a friend at the end of it. We can't stop talking about it. To start, César contacted us quickly to arrange a pickup in Santa Marta. He then provided an informational sheet to prepare us for our hike. It was so informative that we had zero questions or concerns beforehand. He arrived at our hotel lobby 10 minutes early to pick us up with a private chauffeur. Our driver, Rafa, was exceptional. He drove so well that we were completely at ease on our first morning in a new place. I have never been so comfortable with another driver behind the wheel in my life. On our way to Tayrona Park, César gave us information about Colombia, the geography, and the history of the land. He made the drive more fun and made us excited for the arrival. At the park, he handled the tickets and insurance while we got water and snacks. We had zero responsibility or concern. In the park, he knew every person we passed. He gave us insider tips, showed us countless animals and experiences we never would have seen/found ourselves, and educated us on the flora and fauna. He had a pen light to help us spot things - which I deeply appreciated. He notified us of every slippery spot on the path and every branch overhead, ensuring our safety 100% of the way. We trusted him so much on the walk that we were literally following his footsteps. We also talked the whole day, as conversation with him was easy and fun. The hike itself stunned us. The views were spectacular, the water was incredible, and our lucky animal sightings took our breath away. We entered with low expectations and left feeling like we'd walked out of a dream. He even had a surprise for us that went above and beyond all expectation. César truly planned every detail of this day with such expert precision and thought that we could simply be along for the ride. We weren't troubled by anything, never felt unsafe, and were sad when it was over. We couldn't possibly express our gratitude and contentment enough. I would recommend this to every person visiting Santa Marta or Colombia and only wish that I could bring César with me on other trips. We truly loved our time with him.

Cesar is the best! He was a very careful and knowledgable guide. He handled tickets ahead of time so we didn't have to wait in line, and he knows every tricky spot on the trails. He also helped arrange a half-day tour for us to a different part of the Park (shout out to David who was also wonderful!). Highly recommend supporting Cesar's small business.
