Kevin is an expert guide who spots wildlife that seem impossible to spot, as well as lots of other interesting forest features. He also has an incredible amount of knowledge about the forest flora and fauna. We saw many amazing things, learned a lot, and left with stunning pictures. Monteverde area is absolutely beautiful. Kevin is also such a kind, patient, generous, and funny guy. He’s great to take these hikes with, and we really enjoyed our two guided walks with him. What an excellent, unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!
This night tour was incredible. Kevin was AMAZING at spotting animals - he knew exactly where to look and find things and was so confident navigating where things would be. He is clearly well experienced and has a natural interest in the animals - we learned so much from him. He was brilliant with our two children as well. His scope was fantastic for seeing things close up and he used my phone to take some incredible photos that we can share at home and keep those memories of seeing the wildlife of Costa Rica alive. Kevin was invested in making sure we saw everything there was to see, seeking out harder to spot animals and our tour ended perfectly with the “cherry on top of the cake” as he put it with a sloth and rare animal who’s name I have forgotten (sorry Kevin!). Unlike other tours in the same area, ours was just us - many other groups were much larger and therefore less opportunity to see the animals through the scope and harder to manage more people. This is one of the reasons I would choose Kevin for a night tour. Coupled with his expert knowledge and experience of the reserve, you would never regret booking this tour! We have come away with a wonderful experience. Thank you so much Kevin! 🌟
We did the night tour in Spanish and we loved it. Our guide knew a lot about all the animals we saw and explained a ton of interesting facts to us in a very pleasant way. Also, he was very friendly, especially with our son, with whom he connected right away and made him enjoy the experience even more. We saw many animals and learned a lot. Without a doubt, a totally recommended tour.

We saw a sleeping toucan, kinkajou, viper, tarantula, frogs, lizards, and even a mother and baby sloth! Our guide, Marcos, was so respectful of the forest and its wildlife. We really enjoyed getting to learn more about the animals and the forest from him. We never felt rushed and loved that he made sure each member of our group walked away with high quality pictures and a greater understanding of the rainforest ecosystem. We had a great experience with Kevin as our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the plants, insects, birds and animals. We saw many different frogs, an eyelash viper curled in a tree, lots of sleeping birds including toucans, a couti and porcupine. He helped our boys with taking pictures and was amazing at spotting things we would have never seen on our own. I’d highly recommend Kevin as a guide and this night tour!

An experiment to do! It’s a bit creepy at first but after a few minutes you get used to it. The guide takes us through the forest and thanks to his telescope and his lynx eyes he manages to spot animals in the dark: tarantula, snake, butterflies, sleeping birds and finally beautifully an owl 😍.
