Inizieremo visitando le botteghe degli artigiani locali (pelletteria, fabbri, falegnami, tintori, ecc. e molti altri). Visiteremo alcuni dei migliori showroom, bazar e negozi, per scoprire i migliori prodotti del nostro artigianato, che non si trovano a prima vista! Dai mobili ai gioielli, lampade, accessori, tappeti e caftano... tutto è in questo tour unico nel suo genere!
Il souk dei tintori si trova nella Medina, vicino alla sorgente Mouassine e all'omonima moschea, nella metà occidentale del groviglio di strade. Anche se questo souk ha perso la sua attività diversi anni fa con il crescente utilizzo di coloranti industriali, è ancora possibile vedere alcuni piccoli laboratori dove si pratica ancora la tintura tradizionale.
Considerata l'arteria principale dei souk della Medina, il Souk Semmarine è accessibile da Place Jemaa El Fna, in un derb (vicolo della medina) con lo stesso nome. Un nome che prende dai maniscalchi che un tempo occupavano questo luogo strategico per ferrare gli animali dei carovanieri, mentre questi ultimi facevano la consueta spesa. Oggi, il Souk Semmarine è una via dello shopping molto colorata dove si trovano soprattutto commercianti di tessuti, souvenir, artigianato ma anche indirizzi unici di antiquariato marocchino. Rappresenta l'ingresso ai souk specializzati: spezie, tappeti, tessuti, pantofole... Una vera e propria grotta di Ali Babà.

Amid found us at the meeting point and it was just the two of of us on this booking. It was a wet day so we got under cover in the souk. Amid shared a lot of interesting information about Morocco, Marrakesh, the souk and the artisans. Plenty of history and how that has shaped Marrakesh today. There were various stops at different shops of good quality. Friendly selling, tea along the way, but no pressure to buy. A great way to familiarise yourself with the various areas of the souk and assistance in getting a better deal if you are keen to make a purchase. If you want to see more artisans in action it would be good to go on a morning tour

Our Marrakech experience with Amid The day was full of excitement...Amid had given us a thorough tour to the places we want to go like the Souk of Medina, Jemaa El- Fnaa and many more...he was so patient and kind and very accommodating to answer the questions about the place. The history and the buildings are art itself. I even take notes of the history he had discussed about the place in Marrakech. He brought us to places that we can buy original and genuine products from Morroco, leathers and teapots, herbs and beauty products, as well as the recommended Hammam scrub 🤣 an unforgettable experience. We were glad our riad recommended Amid as our private tour guide. We're in Marrakech for a short visit on the weekend to celebrate me and my friends 50th 🎂! We thoroughly enjoyed our full-day private walking tour with Amid! He is very knowledgeable about Morocco’s history & culture, which made his explanations interesting and informative at each stop. He adjusted our itinerary to fit our interests and structured our day intelligently - visits to important sites followed by a relaxing rooftop to lunch, then shopping in the souks. As a shopping guide, Amid really excelled! We were given special showings by high quality merchants for only the product categories we wanted to see (rugs, spices, skin care, and stoneware).
