Entra in un mondo che il tempo ha dimenticato, il più importante terreno fertile del sud-est asiatico per i grandi uccelli acquatici minacciati a livello globale. Visita i villaggi galleggianti e naviga attraverso il lago Great Tonle Sap, il più grande lago d'acqua dolce del sud-est asiatico. Il viaggio includerà anche una visita a 2 diversi villaggi di pescatori., a Prek Toal ci incontreremo con la barca dei ranger presso l'ufficio dei ranger (galleggiante) e poi entreremo nel Santuario degli uccelli, andiamo dove solo le barche dei ranger possono viaggiare, la nostra Guida Esperta e le guide dei ranger conoscono i migliori punti di osservazione, usiamo anche barche a remi più piccole per entrare con il minimo rumore, le principali aree di allevamento, c'è una piattaforma di osservazione là fuori in modo da poter ottenere le migliori viste possibili, Questa è una visione molto unica di alcune delle specie molto rare e minacciate di estinzione di uccelli acquatici, e abbiamo condotto tour qui per 20 anni quindi sappiamo come muoverci. Sosta per il pranzo con bevande Queen Tara incl, goditi lo splendido scenario dalla barca più grande del lago.

Not much of birding Our guide though was good We had a relaxed peaceful lunch on Queen Tara Great work of conservation going on Water level is high now so we could see darters & cormorants birds who could fish deep in water Visited Osmose conservation project & saw how water hyacinth is being put to good use
Thank you for your review, yes the best times to visit the bird sanctuary are from November to March as the water levels on the lake are starting to recede and the birds are nesting at this time
Birding was poor Proper prior information on birding during reservation was lacking However we appreciate the conservation going in &our guide was good

This trip was through Tara Riverboat Tours and to be honest, I was a little hesitant but the other trip provider was sold out for the 2 days we were available. However, we totally lucked out! The trip turned out to be a private custom tour. There were only 2 people on our trip, my husband and myself, plus our guide, the boat driver, and a tender. Our guide was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the sanctuary and the birds currently in the sanctuary. We saw numerous nesting storks, cranes and pelicans from the observation tower they have set up and a few other birds along the way. We went through several floating villages but did not stop. Our guide talked about the villages though and pointed out the markets, etc. A really nice lunch was provided on the Queen Tara which was anchored on the lake. This tour really far exceeded our expectations in every way.
