In questa esperienza, non solo potrai trovare le splendide viste panoramiche che la passeggiata offre e la realtà di cosa sia una comunità o Favela, ma prometto anche di compiere la mia missione in modo che tu porti un po' d'amore con te .che ho per questo posto con una bellissima esperienza, con energia, risate e sapori.

Itinerario
Questa avventura inizia nella piazza di Vidigal, dove prenderemo un mototaxi (trasporto abituale per gli abitanti di Vidigal) fino ad entrare nella riserva. Ci aspetta un trekking leggero/moderato di 50 minuti, aggirando la collina di Dois Irmaos e vedendo La Rocinha, la favela più grande del Brasile, dall'alto, riconosceremo anche il quartiere di San Conrado, Barra de Tijuca, Pedra de Gavea, Pedra Bonita, quartiere di Gavea, Cristo Redentore, tra gli altri. Questo tour ha il miglior rapporto costo/beneficio di tutti i trekking che conosci! Salita notturna: Riceviamo l'alba dall'alto e scendiamo al mattino. È come fare due escursioni in una! Include torcia elettrica e un caffè per ricevere il sole. Al mattino e a mezzogiorno: saliamo e scendiamo accompagnati dalla luce del sole, potendo apprezzare il percorso due volte. Salita pomeridiana e discesa notturna: salutiamo il sole dall'alto e scendiamo di notte. È come fare due escursioni in una! Include torcia.
Scendiamo la collina attraverso una scorciatoia che ci lascia nella zona più alta di Vidigal. Visiteremo l'ostello "Mirante de Avrao" con una bellissima vista panoramica della favela, poi andremo al "Quiosque do Avrao" dove abbiamo la possibilità di fare colazione, pranzo o merenda, servono anche caipirinha e birre ghiacciate . Finalmente la discesa nel cuore di Vidigal! Attraverseremo scale, corridoi, la sua via principale e le vie secondarie conoscendo la storia della comunità, dati interessanti e scorci panoramici da sogno!

Climbing the Morro Dois Irmãos from Vidigal with Fernando was much more than a walk: it was living Rio from the inside. Fernando is not only a guide; he is someone who connects you to the history, culture and real energy of the favela as you walk. Each leg made sense because he was telling, explaining and transmitting with passion. The climb was challenging... and the descent even more 😅, but I never felt insecure. Always attentive, helping in difficult times and transmitting confidence even when vertigo appeared. We walked down the whole favela next to him, which made the experience even more authentic. Although that day the sun decided to go down, the magic was the same. It placed us on the top line to achieve the best shots and live the moment to the fullest. And the details that make the difference: he baited mate while we waited for dawn, carried a portable fan and made me air when I was already sold out... the Uruguay flag for our photos! Simple gestures that demonstrate genuine care. It wasn’t just an outing: it was a physical challenge, an emotional connection and an experience that stays on the skin. If you want to know Vidigal for real, with security, respect and a unique energy... Fernando is the guide you need.

The line for the mototaxi was very long so we took a risk trying to get to the top faster and it led to us walking up Vidigal rather than riding. It was tough but a much more unique experience. Fernando and Bryan were very kind. They provided me with water and were very helpful on the hike and open to helping with pictures. Bryan was also very helpful and gave me ten reals to pay for a bus ride home because I couldn’t pay. Very kind guys and a great experience!

A crack!! We took a guided tour of the Vidigal favela and it was an amazing experience. Our guide was very friendly and attentive throughout, he knows the area perfectly and made us feel safe and welcome from the first minute. One of the highlights was that he made photos and videos with drone, capturing spectacular moments and breathtaking views of Rio de Janeiro. Thanks to him we have wonderful memories of this day! 100% recommend this experience to anyone who wants to know the reality and culture of Vidigal in a respectful and authentic way. An excellent guide!

Rio has a variety of things to do and one of them is the Morro Dois Irmao and the Favela de Vidigal a unique experience, the guide Fernando a passionate about nature , at 2 am you have to stand , is explaining everything about the area both ascent and descent ,my best photos of Rio was in the morro at dawn without a doubt , then in the favela Vidigal is explaining and there are some murals where beautiful photos come out , we meet people who care for the community are areas where you can not record but I always felt safe , if you have the opportunity I recommend them.
Fernando is amazing, he’s very knowledgeable and knows the trail and the favela really well and he’s so much fun to be around. We had the best time and would highly recommend. His photo skills are also top notch. ;)
