Alle rovine Maya di Chacchoben sarai guidato da una guida locale professionale. Cammineremo nella giungla per esplorare e conoscere le diverse strutture del sito Maya come: Temple 24, Plaza B, Gran Plaza, Gran Basamento, Los Gemelos, Las Vasijas e Templo Uno. Questa escursione offre anche la possibilità di conoscere le piante locali e osservare alcune specie di fauna locale, tra cui uccelli e scimmie ragno. Nella laguna di Bacalar il primo posto da visitare è "Cenote Esmeralda", dove rimarrai stupito dalle diverse sfumature di blu e capirai perché la laguna di Bacalar viene spesso definita la laguna a 7 colori. Il prossimo punto da godere sarà il "Cenote nero", che è un cenote a cielo aperto e anche il punto più profondo della laguna. Il punto finale da esplorare è il Canale dei pirati, come ti verrà spiegato quel giorno, i pirati erano soliti entrare a Bacalar usando questo canale per rubare legno prezioso locale.

Ti porteremo al sito archeologico di Chacchoben, dove avrai una visita guidata di 1,5 ore con una guida nativa che svelerà la storia di una città Maya che fiorì intorno al 300 d.C.
Il primo assaggio di questa bellissima laguna lo farà mentre ci avviciniamo alla costa da una collina. Il primo posto da visitare nella laguna di Bacalar è il "Cenote Esmeralda", dove rimarrai stupito dalle diverse tonalità di blu e capirai perché la laguna di Bacalar viene spesso definita la laguna a 7 colori. La nostra prossima tappa è "Cenote Cocalitos", casa delle stromatoliti, che sono conosciute come pietre vive e sono considerate la più antica forma di vita del pianeta. Il terzo punto da apprezzare sarà il "Cenote nero", che è un cenote a cielo aperto e anche il punto più profondo della laguna. Sarà un'esperienza straordinaria e una giornata piena di divertimento e apprendimento.

Juan Corona and Manuel were amazing tour guides! They truly went above and beyond to make sure our experience was one to remember. They were very diligent with time, and made sure we had plenty of time to return an hour before cruise ship disembarked. This was my favorite tour of our trip. The water was beautiful at the lagoon and the ruins were amazing. Thank you Juan Corona and Manuel for an experience our family will not forget!

We were excited to do this excursion, however, choppy seas and strong winds prevented our ship from docking in Costa Maya. I let Chac Ek (operator) know and within the hour they worked with Viator to get our booking fully refunded. Was grateful to get such great service and an easy resolution. Hopefully we’ll be back sometime soon to do this tour!

Leo and staff at Chac Ek were phenomenal. This activity has been on of the best adventures we’ve taken as a family. It was a perfect balance of gorgeous historical lagoon time, a locally made lunch, followed by an outstanding visit at the Mayan ruins. Absolutely fantastic tour guide.

What an incredible tour!!!! Chicken & Juan Corona were awesome. I appreciate how Juan gave us a lot of history on the ride to the ruins then helped us take pictures and just take it in while we were there. A lot of times I don’t like tours because when you’re at the location, they’re giving you all this information and sometimes you just want to take a moment to embrace the space you’re in so this is exactly the type of tour I love. They were also funny and fun. The place we had lunch was incredible. The lagoon. No words. AMAZING. Book this. We were on a cruise and we made great timing so book this instead of the Cruise one.

This was the best excursion we did on our trip. We had a group of 13 people ranging from 6 to 74 years old and everyone enjoyed it. The company was great with communication through What's App, responding quickly to all my questions. Finding our tour guide outside the port was easy and everything was a smooth process. The first thing our guide did was confirm the time we had to be back to our ship and went over the entire schedule for the day to make sure we were comfortable with the timeline and they had us back in more than enough time to wander shops in the port before we had to be back on the ship. Juan Corona was an awesome guide and Miguel was our driver. Juan Corona was so informative about the ruins and they got us there before the buses full of people arrived so we basically had the place to ourselves. We stopped at a local restaurant for lunch and the food was delicious (included in the tour price). We stopped and got fresh pineapple and mango that Juan gave us as a snack at the lagoon. The lagoon was everyone's favorite part. It was beautiful and so refreshing just relaxing in the water. Highly recommend this tour!

First of all, there are no boat tours on Wednesdays due to a local regulation that forbids navigation anywhere in the lagoon so beware of that. They won't tell you that until after you book the tour. They take you by car to only one spot on the lagoon where you spend a couple of hours before heading back to Costa Maya. Chacchoben was pretty interesting and Francisco, the tour guide, was pretty knowledgeable and personable. He made everyone feel at ease right away. The food is just ok. The van is pretty spacious and comfortable. Pretty easy to find them and pretty easy to get back to the port afterwards.

Outstanding experience. Clear communication from the very beginning regarding where to find the guide after leaving the cruise ship including text and video instructions. Juan was a fantastic guide. Professional, funny, sincere, always ready to help with pictures and providing interesting information regarding what we were seeing every step of the way. I cannot give a higher recommendation! Visiting the ruins was a wonderful experience and we saw several monkeys that stopped by for some close up pictures. The lagoon was gorgeous and the experience was enhanced with fresh pineapple and mangos served to us by Juan while enjoying the water. Lunch was delicious and provided plenty of tasty food. Drinks and snacks were appreciated as well1 Amazing tour!!!

Easy to book, easy to find, easy to communicate via WhatsApp, safe for female travelers! Tour guide - Juan, Driver- Andres /Perro, and Boat Captain Armando Excelente! Chacchoben and Bacalar Combo tour. Ruins great experience learned a lot, good stop for food very tasty garlic fish tacos, guacamole and Jamaica. My Seester had the cochinita Pipil and Tamarindo. Once full we went off to Bacalar Laguna and the beauty of the water was just awe! Such a great experience w my sister and tour guide. Gracie Andes por las Galletas Acoiris! IYKYK!
