We arrived in Ha long bay to extremely heavy rain. Our tour guide contacted us and suggested postpone our excursion a few hour( or could cancel) we took option. 1 and were so happy we did. The rain settled at the time out guide thought it might. The whole experience was amazing. We had a small boat take us through the bay then a smaller bamboo boat ride with a local fisherman ( better option than the kayak imo) Our tour guide was full of interesting info and made our tour fascinating ( Thank you Lily)
It was a very rainy morning so they changed the time to take sure we had the best experience. Our tour guide Lily was absolutely fantastic personalising the tour just for us. The staff on the boat helped us get on and off every time and were so kind and friendly. The caves were spectacular and our bamboo boat ride was sooooo special with our wonderful boat man singing to us as we glided through the caves. The most amazing day. Thank you Lily for making it so special.
We ended going to the all day tour because the half day we would not have experienced how wonderful Ha Long bay was. Wonderful highlights, which included a gourmet lunch.
Cruise through Halong Bay was good. The guide and boat staff were very nice. The scenery was extraordinary. We did not go into the caves or walk the trail due to weak knees. The Sam Pan boat ride was not great. Just rowed in circles.
The tour was outstanding! Our guide, Sonny, was very knowledgeable and Halong bay is beautiful. Highly recommend this tour!!
It's a wonderful way to spend the morning in Halong Bay. A nice cruise and then exploring a beautiful cave of stalagmites and stalagtites. Such interesting shapes every way you turn. We had the BEST tour guide with David. Two of us older couples and four other women traveling together. We were well taken care of - especially when climbing uphill into the cave. A lovely row boat ride around the bay. And then an enjoyable cruise back to the port. Highly recommend this tour- especially with David.
We were on the Ambrose cruise and Chris was our tour guide. He was excellent and we had a great time! We would like to have him as our tour guide on our next trip!
Fab day with small group. Johnny and boat staff looked after us very well, including a great lunch. Scenery was azaming, cave was beautiful and the bamboo boat ride was fun! Highly recommend
What a great day in magical Halong Bay! Our tour guide Johnny was very attentive, knowledgeable & fun to be with. He & the crew made sure we were safe, comfortable & well feed! The pearl farm was informative, while the Sung Sat cave system was definitely worth the climb up the stairs for the views both inside & outside! The bamboo boat was absolute chaos, but our boatman made the best of it & took the time to take pictures of us in the lagoon. Be prepared for lots of other boats/people along the way. We really enjoyed our time with Mr. Johnny & the crew.
This is a beautiful experience I highly recommend to any visitor in Halong Bay. To be upclose to the rocks, checking out limestone caves, riding on a sampan or kayaking on a UNESCO heritage site is a wonderful feeling. It deserves a five star. I gave it a 4 star only because of miscommunication with the tour operator.
