All'arrivo a Efeso entriamo dalla Porta della Magnesia e iniziamo una lenta passeggiata in discesa con la tua guida tra le rovine dell'ex capoluogo di provincia romano.Il tuo percorso ti porterà oltre il tempio di Adriano, la fontana di Traiano, il grande teatro e il spettacolare biblioteca di Celso.
Visita al tempio di Artemide
Secondo la tradizione cristiana, Maria fu portata ad Efeso dall'apostolo Giovanni dopo la risurrezione di Cristo e qui visse i suoi ultimi giorni. Questa chiesa fu eretta sulle fondamenta di quella casa e la sua autenticità è stata confermata da Papa Paolo VI e Papa Giovanni Paolo II. molti visitatori descrivono questo come un'esperienza edificante o spirituale.
Mercato governativo della città di Efeso
Situata all'estremità sud della Via Domiziano, è la prima struttura di Efeso nota per essere dedicata a un imperatore. Fu costruito su un alto e ampio terrazzo di 50x100 metri, su fondamenta a volte. La dimensione settentrionale della terrazza sembra essere alta due piani, raggiungibile tramite scale. Le scale sono ancora oggi visibili.
fu costruito nel I secolo e restaurato nel IV secolo da una ricca signora cristiana chiamata Scolastica. A sinistra dell'ingresso orientale, puoi vedere la sua statua senza testa. Si pensava che la struttura originale fosse a tre piani, ma nel momento in cui i due piani superiori crollarono. I bagni hanno due ingressi, uno dalla via Curetes, che è l'ingresso principale, e l'altro dalla strada laterale. Quando si entra si vede prima lo spogliatoio (apodyterium) con dieci cabine, poi la camera fredda (frigidarium) con la sua piscina, e poi la camera calda (tepidarium) per rilassarsi, e infine la camera calda (caldarium) con il suo sistema di riscaldamento sviluppato . Il secondo piano è stato utilizzato per massaggi e scrubbe come terapia.

The tour was great. The ride was comfortable. The experience was wonderful. We enjoyed the carpet demonstration. Our guide and driver were fantastic.
Tour guide was excellent move that leisurely pace took us to an additional sites. That were very interesting. I highly recommend.
Yesra was phenomenal - - -such a wealth of information!! The day was absolutely perfect with all the activities included. The tour through Ephesus was absolutely amazing. The pottery stop was so informative and neat. The Turkish lunch was outstanding and such a nice way to try new food. The rug demo was incredible as well. They really did a hard sell at the end which you had to repeatedly say no. However, this was the best event we did on our 10 day vacation!!! Highly recommended.
Cetin showed us the ruins, the house of Mary, Artemis temple, and a great lunch! He explained all the history and answered all our questions. It was a great day and a great tour. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful tour of Ephesus with Yesra. She was very knowledge about all of the sites we visited and also very kind and personable. We stopped at a local shop to taste olive oil and other snacks. We did buy things but didn’t feel a great pressure to make a purchase. We also stopped at a pottery demonstration. Again, we bought something small . Lunch was at the end and was delicious. We were very happy with our tour with Yesra.

Yesra was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We went to Ephesus, the Virgin Mary's house and a couple of local shops. The provided lunch was great. I would highly recommend her.

This was the perfect tour if you only have a day in Kusadasi. Melis is the best! You get a good exposure to Turkish culture (like rug making and local food) and ancient history. She is so knowledgeable and gave us helpful tips for the rest of our stay in Kusadasi. Thank you Melis!

Met Melis on time in Kusadasi port. Her passion for her country's tradition and culture was admirable and by the end of our trip we learned a great deal about her country's history and even learned a few Turkish phrases. The tour of Ephesus and the house of the virgin Mary was brilliant and Melis explained everything in great detail and her extensive knowledge on this subject was admirable. We then had a great lunch and then we had a demonstration on rug weaving and how passionate they are on their rug weaving tradition. We will definitely return to Turkey because of Melis passion when speaking of her country's tradition and history. We would highly recommend Melis as your tour guide and when we return to Turkey again for a holiday we will specifically ask for Melis as our tour guide. Melis is a wonderful warm and friendly tour guide and did everything possible to make our tour unforgettable and her country should be proud of her for delivering a brilliant presentation on Turkey's history and traditions.
