A magnificent discovery. An extraordinary and fabulous collection. You learn a lot about the subject. It's great!
Very nice little museum. With very interesting information about seashells. And very nice and knowledgeable staff.
Nice moment spend here, very educative The guide was also nice
I went to visit with kids, and they were fascinated. The shells, even the local ones we are used to see at the beach, are very well displayed and shown in other angles. The explanations are simple and clear, so the kids can read and understand themselves.
Excellent and very informative. Great interactive activities. Great for math education to for kids as well. Well worth a visit
We were in Tamassa, had cleared the rooms in the morning, and with time to kill waiting for our shuttle to the airport scheduled for late afternoon. It was the perfect time to visit this museum, about 10 minutes walk from Tamassa. It's not very big, but we still spent a little hour there. Plus it's air conditioned, so pretty nice when you're inside. The museum is well arranged, and has a small souvenir shop with several products representative of the Island. We had a great time.
Visited the museum during our stay at Heritage Awali and we were ill treaded by the staff of the museum. I guess just because we are Mauritian . The staff ruined our experience of wonderful stay.
Absolutely stunning. Never knew there were so many beautiful shells. Definitely a peaceful educational trip. Have absolute new respect of what is under the sea.
Very small museum that takes only 20-30 minutes if you do not linger too much, very pretty, has a magnificent collection of shells. The kids loved it!
We didn’t have great expectations when we went ( to be honest!) but the museum far exceeded those expectations. The shells are beautiful, are presented beautifully and the museum is properly curated - most of the collection dates from the 18th century and there are clear explanations in English and French of the historical role of shells. Magdalena, the lady at reception, was also very friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit.
