Elafonisi, a sud-ovest di Creta, è famosa per la sua sabbia rosa e le sue basse acque turchesi. Più volte questa spiaggia è stata scelta per essere tra le più belle del mondo. La sabbia rosa è prodotta dalla grande quantità di conchiglie rosa che vengono macinate dal mare. L'area fa parte del programma europeo di protezione Natura 2000. L'acqua è generalmente abbastanza bassa e sicura per i bambini. .Per un viaggio più conferibile da/per Rethymno facciamo alcune soste. La Grotta di Agìa Sophia è un luogo di interesse archeologico, geologico e storico. La piccola chiesa di Agia Sophia si trova all'ingresso della grotta che contiene molte file di massicce stalattiti e stalagmiti. Nel tradizionale villaggio di montagna cretese Elos, troverete il maggior numero di castagni dell'isola. Durante le soste sarà possibile acquistare qualcosa da bere e mangiare. Godetevi il giro attraverso il lussureggiante paesaggio cretese e una giornata in acque cristalline presso l'esotica spiaggia di sabbia di Elafonisi.

Nel tradizionale villaggio di montagna di Creatan si trova il maggior numero di castagneti dell'isola. La zona è verde e rigogliosa!

Ingresso dell'hotel. Il prelievo dall'hotel è offerto in base alla posizione dell'hotel del cliente. Nel caso in cui la proprietà (villa-hotel-airbnb) non si trovi nelle aree di prelievo del tour, il cliente deve incontrare il nostro gruppo per il tour nel luogo di prelievo più vicino possibile.

We had the trip booked for our family and had received WhatsApp confirmation, on app details confirmed pick up location and time (08:00hrs). We arrived at 07:30 and when the bus didn’t arrive by 08:05 we called and were told that the driver had been and we were not there. Another bus arrived from the same operator and we made enquiries with the guide, he told us that we could join that tour but it was a different tour and we would have to pay extra - we declined. No reason was offered to us why we were not picked up other than the company insisting we were not there at the allocated time (we were there). We have requested a full refund which we have still to receive. Very disappointing service.
A fantastic beach. Facilities for disables
With the family we stayed for 5 days 02 August to 07 August 2024. It was magnificent, the sea was inviting to dive and snorkel in fascinated underwater world, with sparkling crystal clear sea, abundance of fish and much more to discover. Handle this pristine stain carefully.

An amazing place. Great tour of small villages with an amazing driver and host. The beach itself is very clean, water is super blue. Wear sun protection!! The sun here is no joke!
The beach was fantastic and the driver was great, but the trip to stalactite caves was false advertising and we paid more for the trip than the rest of the tourists on the trip. So buy via your hotel or one of the locals down there - not via Tripadvisor! Before departure I got an email about changing the pickup location and when I asked to have this confirmed I got no reply.

Brilliant trip, the team were excellent in keeping us safe and informed. Beach was stunning, however be prepared fir a walk on a poor road, once there soft sand and clear water. explain about the trek from the ferry to the lagoon, elderly people and parents with infants will find this a very difficult and dangerous.

Nothing in Greece seems easy to visit but everything is worth the effort. We left Chania and spent between 1:30hs and 2 hs of travel. Narrow road and very winding. Nothing impossible but requires a lot of care. Respect the traffic rules and do not try to get past and everything will end well. But don't worry... GO! You will be rewarded. The beach is beautiful. Try to arrive before 11hs or get ready with hats and mattresses. We went in June the water was still a little cold for northeastern patterns (we are from Bahia) but very similar to the waters of southeastern Brazil. It has infrastructure for food and drinks. You can rent a Kaiak or take windsurfing lessons. Cinema landscape. Great for kids. Don’t leave this experience out of your trip.
We chose this excursion for its price. But be careful, the care is only in the Rethymon region and it is not specified on the page. So if vs are further you will have to vs be at pick up point by your own means, which can be far and expensive if vs are for example to Heraklion or places that are not in the pick up area of the operator. Hence the rating divided by 2 because the service information is not complete
Warm crystal clear waters and gorgeous oink sand. Kids loved it and enjoyed swimming amongst the rocks and fishes.
