House of Virgin Mary è il luogo in cui Maria potrebbe aver trascorso i suoi ultimi giorni. Anzi, potrebbe essere venuta nell'area insieme a San Giovanni. L'apostolo Paolo trascorse probabilmente due anni e mezzo a Efeso durante il suo terzo viaggio missionario. Il nostro tour include Odeon, Agorà di Stato, Prytaneion, Monumento a Memmio, Tempio di Domatio, Porta di Ercole, Via Curetes, Tempio di Adriano, Latriens, Biblioteca di Celso, Strada di marmo, Agorà commerciale, Grande teatro e Arcadine (Harbour Road).
Antiche lussuose ville residenziali, costruite secondo il piano dell'ippodamo dove le strade si intersecano ad angolo retto. Le case presentano disegni che mostrano gladiatori, caricature e animali e grafiti di nomi di persone, poesie e dichiarazioni d'amore. Le visite alla Private House (il cosiddetto bordello, "Terrace Houses") sono facoltative per un extra di 25 ₺ / persona e la tua guida dovrebbe essere informata in anticipo.
Dopo pranzo; proseguiremo con la visita al Tempio di Artemide; che è una delle sette meraviglie dell'antichità. Qui, ci saranno buone possibilità di scattare foto della Chiesa di San Giovanni e della Moschea di Isa Bey anche dalla migliore angolazione.
Un antico villaggio sulle colline di Selcuk famoso per la produzione di vino aromatizzato alla frutta e le case tradizionali. Un tempo era abitato da "Rum" (greci bizantini) che furono scambiati con i turchi dalla Grecia continentale dopo il trattato di pace seguito alla guerra nazionale turca.

Fabulous tour of House of Mary and Ephesus with a wonderful guide Mahmet. On time pick up at hotel in Izmir. Lots of great geographical and historical information provided on the ride and at the sites. Patient tour guide with excellent information and good driver. The provided lunch was outstanding. There were some shopping stops as well including an interesting carpet weaving explanation. Highly recommend.
