This was not the best city tour I've ever had. Our guide spent quite a lot of time on his phone and ignoring the group. There was a lot of walking, which was expected, but a lot of the time we weren't seeing anything🤷

Edmonton City Tour
When first arriving in Edmonton our thoughts were what are we going to do for 3 days as initial impressions of the city are run down and not a lot to offer. Thankfully we had booked this tour and spent a great 3 hours seeing lots of areas and understanding the history of Edmonton. Our guide was knowledgable of the area, able to recommend a number of things to see/do and knew the history and progression of Edmonton. Not all you see reflects the nice bits but it is an honest city that has a lot to offer once you dig a bit

Tour of Edmonton - Summer 2026
I booked with one of the tour sites (Tripadvisor, Viator or GetYourGuide), but received correspondence from Toonie Tours. It was a bit unclear that there would be another party that was actually offering the tour. The tour was good, I believe we all learned something more about the city. It was very hot and having a stop at the festival taking place at the time to grab a drink or an ice cream would have been appreciated. We stopped closer to the end of the tour and many members of the group ended up leaving at that time (at this stop) because of the heat and the duration of the tour. It could have maybe been a bit shorter with more stops along the way. The tour guide Matthew was very friendly and provided a lot of information on the tour.

An excellent intro to Edmonton!

It turns out that Edmonton is quite a cool city! We had an excellent tour guide highlighting interesting architecture, history, experiences, and recommendations for food and activities. We enjoyed our friendly and knowledgeable guide and highly recommend this walking tour.
