Orla was lovely, knowledgeable, and informative. We had great cheeses. I was only disappointed that we didn't have exclusively Scottish cheeses or British Isles cheeses.
Tour kind of strange, tour started late waiting for a guest to arrive. Tour guide nice, friendly, knew her cheese. Most all of cheeses where sampled on the sidewalk or public park, wine was offered, guide bought a bottle and poured it in the park, one bottle 6 people, not very generous. Tour description a little deceiving??
A fun afternoon with a knowlegable guide, who was friendly, fun and interesting. The tour was well received. Very much enjoyed the cheese. We were fortunate to have a sunny day, which provided a wonderful backdrop to our outdoor cheese eating experience. A lovely time also had getting to know others on the tour. Learnt some new facts about the area also. Thank you!
Orla was wonderful! My husband and I travel with another couple and this tour is definitely in our top five best experiences. We visited three cheese shops, had wine in the park and visited an area of Edinburgh we would have never experienced if it wasn’t for booking the Cheese Crawl! Well done
The tour had a promising first stop. At an upscale shop, the owner presented us with prepared samples of two cheeses which we ate in the shop while he told us about his cheeses and then offered a few additional tastings. But after, there were two more cheese shops which were too small for our group of 8. The guide went in, bought a few chunks and a bottle of wine. We could go in and take a quick look at these shops but the employees had no interaction. The guide provided some information. After the guide had purchased her supplies, she knelt down over her bag to cut the cheese on a board and then served the wine in small cups and the cheese as the group stood on the sidewalk or took an available seat on a bench. I asked and the guide said that if it rains, she tries to keep the cheese dry and hopes to find an overhang to shelter her guests. The guide was a nice young person who knew the tour and did her best, but eating cheese and sipping wine from a small paper cup on a busy sidewalk wasn't really appealing to me. For the money, I'd suggest locating a cheese shop and buying a few samples on your own. Then find a comfortable spot to enjoy them.
Nadine was amazing on the experience, she made everything so enjoyable for the day We all enjoyed the tour and made our Hen Party
Delicious cheese shops with not a lot of walking. Ample samples. Guide was knowledgeable, kind and accommodating.
What an interesting, unique, and tasty tour through the neighborhood. Our guide was fantastic. Completely worth making time for.
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our cheese tour today. Xander was lovely - friendly and knowledgeable. It was all very relaxed and we tried lots of different cheeses, with a glass of wine too. Stockbridge is a vibrant area, with lots of great bars, cafes, bakeries etc. And of course, cheese shops. It’s fun to be a tourist in your own city!
Really fun tour with Xander. Tried several cheeses and had a nice glass of wine. Also had a great liver pate.
