Un caloroso benvenuto vi aspetta nel nostro Centro Visite. Ci troviamo proprio accanto alla Terra dei Sette Colori vicino a Chamarel quindi segui le indicazioni e unisciti a noi nel nostro lussureggiante paradiso tropicale. Assicurati di fermarti ad ammirare le cascate di Chamarel. Vi consigliamo di arrivare al nostro ingresso entro le 15 : 00 al più tardi per assicurarvi di avere tutto il tempo per godervi la vostra visita. Cosa ti aspetti? • Visita guidata di 30 minuti lungo una passerella rialzata (0,5 m – 4 m di altezza) attraverso la foresta Flycatcher • Vista mozzafiato sulla costa sud e ovest da Sublime Point • Assisti a 8 milioni di anni di storia nel nostro Ebony Experience Museum • Incontra i nostri uccelli endemici e rari minacciati (Pescamosche di Maurizio, Bulbulo nero di Maurizio, Piccione rosa, Parrocchetto Eco, Gheppio) • Facili escursioni lungo il nostro sentiero di cresta con viste spettacolari su Le Morne, sito patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO • Escursione facoltativa a Piton Canot per un panaroma a 360 ° • Abbraccia un albero di ebano che sorgeva al tempo del dodo

- Dopo il tour, per arrivare a Sublime Point, fai un'escursione lungo l'idilliaco Ridgeline Trail (1,1 km) con splendide viste sull'Ile aux Benitiers e Le Morne. Il nome dice tutto, Sublime è una vista da non perdere durante la tua visita a Mauritius. Rilassati e osserva il volo dei pipistrelli, il volo degli uccelli tropicali dalla coda bianca e le esibizioni acrobatiche dei rondoni delle Mascarene. Perché non gustare alcuni snack locali per assaporare appieno l'esperienza.
- Per quei visitatori energici, consigliamo un'escursione alla vetta del Piton Canot per una vista spettacolare della costa sud-occidentale e del villaggio di Chamarel.
- Se hai fame, puoi acquistare alcuni snack locali al Sublime Point, perché non prendere qualche snack, insieme a un souvenir, dalla nostra boutique che vende principalmente prodotti artigianali locali. I profitti generati vengono reinvestiti nel nostro lavoro di ripristino forestale in corso (diserbo e piantumazione) e reintroduzione degli uccelli. Abbiamo piantato più di 160.000 alberi nativi, ma abbiamo molto più lavoro da fare. Entra a far parte del nostro progetto di recupero forestale visitandoci.

Not worth the 600 bucks per head. Just a jungle path walk. Two tortoise creeping along the path. Waste of time
The place is wonderful. Its the perfect spot to unwind and reconnect with nature. You get to see tortoises along the walk and different kind of birds. The path was easy to follow. Shoutout to Damien from the snack shop who was super helpful and very welcoming. We couldn’t help but notice that they dont take our contact details at the reception area while coming which i think is important should anything happen. And there is no security if ever you go beyond 17hrs as the place closes down and there is no system in place to ensure everyone has gotten down safety. Thats the one thing i believe they should improve on. Otherwise we had a great experience
Today we have a wonderful time at ebony forest. We choose take a ride. Our guide Anael was very kind and very informative. And the driver Sham driving very carefully, taking care of the turtles on the road. At the top there is an amaizing scenic. So overall its worth it. Thank you Ebony team!

Too bad the welcome upon arriving at the viewpoint/snack bar was pathetic. A young man didn't even bother to return our greeting. Eyes glued to his phone. So we didn't buy anything. Furthermore, at the footbridge, the guides smoke and listen to amplified music, which ruins the "preserved forest" atmosphere.

The experience at the Ebony Forest was really good, Loic our guide was very informative and fun at the same time. They are doing such good conservation work and get very little support financially. I hope people keep visiting as it was a great place.

We stayed in Chalets Chamarel and walked to the Ebony Forest. We took the jeep safari and give kudos to the company of Lloyd and Damien, our hosts. They had great knowledge and shared their passion for Mauritius and it's native species. Well worth the trip for us. Mosquito repellent is strongly advised.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Ebony Forest Reserve and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in nature and conservation. Seeing the ebony trees up close was fascinating, and the giant tortoises roaming freely around the reserve were a real highlight. Our guide was excellent—friendly, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about Mauritian wildlife and ecosystems. Her enthusiasm really brought the experience to life. One thing worth noting is that the website describes the hike as easy. While it wasn't particularly difficult, we felt it was more moderate than easy, especially for less active visitors or families with younger children. Overall, a fantastic experience and a great way to learn more about Mauritius' unique wildlife and natural heritage. Highly recommended for nature lovers, couples and families with older children.
