Inizia la tua crociera in una delle parti più antiche della città. Questi stretti canali risalgono al XIV secolo e sono accessibili solo con piccole imbarcazioni: un tranquillo angolo nascosto della Amsterdam medievale.
Alla deriva attraverso canali tranquilli un tempo utilizzati da monaci e mercanti. Circondata da case e ponti del XVII secolo, questa zona sembra ancora l'Amsterdam di secoli fa.
Costruita nel 1306, l'Oude Kerk è l'edificio più antico di Amsterdam. Ascolta le storie della sua trasformazione da chiesa cattolica a punto di riferimento calvinista - e del suo posto inaspettato nel mezzo del quartiere a luci rosse.
Ammira la grande stazione neorinascimentale dall'acqua - progettata da Pierre Cuypers (che ha anche costruito il Rijksmuseum), una volta ha causato indignazione per aver bloccato la vista della città sull'IJ.
Naviga sotto il suggestivo tetto verde progettato dall'architetto Renzo Piano. Questo edificio sorge dai vecchi moli dei cantieri navali dove un tempo prosperava il porto industriale di Amsterdam.
Passa una replica della nave VOC del XVIII secolo Amsterdam, simbolo della potenza marittima olandese. Il museo stesso era un tempo il magazzino navale dell'Ammiragliato, che conservava polvere da sparo, vele e corda.
Raggiungendo l'Amstel, i canali si aprono. Questo ampio fiume un tempo segnava il bordo della città medievale ed era essenziale per il commercio e i trasporti.
Navigate oltre la prestigiosa “Golden Bend”, dove i mercanti più ricchi di Amsterdam costruirono le loro dimore sul Grand Canal durante l’età dell’oro olandese del XVII secolo. Queste case, con le loro facciate decorate e le trame profonde, erano una chiara dimostrazione di ricchezza e potere.

Nei pressi del mercato dei fiori, vedrai il Munttoren, un tempo parte delle mura della città. Nel XVII secolo, fu usato per coniare monete quando i francesi bloccarono le consegne di argento alla Repubblica olandese.
Questo iconico ponte levatoio in legno bianco è uno dei luoghi più romantici della città. Secondo la leggenda locale, le coppie che si baciano passando sotto il Magere Brug resteranno insieme per sempre. Il ponte originale era così stretto che due pedoni riuscivano a malapena a passarsi accanto – dandogli il soprannome di “Ponte Magro”.

The tour was casual and informative. The captain was talented and the cheese was good. We had rosé and cold beer with the cheese, which was refreshing since it was really hot out. They provided umbrellas to protect us from the sun, and there were only about 15 people on the boat, so there was a lot of opportunity to ask questions. I think one of the larger canal boat tours might pack more information into the tour, but I liked the casual setting of this boat, and we all walked away with some knew knowledge.
Its short, but relaxing. Unlimited does not include alcoholic drinks. I suggest a boat tour with less flowers, you need to get up to take good pics.

It was ok. Easy to find pickup location. Appreciate the cheese and crackers and the drinks. I would have appreciated more info about the city and less about contentious topics. I'm on vacation here to enjoy the area, and I want to forget about the other things.
My husband and I enjoyed the canal cruise with Berta and Kim. Kim was wonderful at maneuvering the boat, while Berta served food and drink. Both young ladies gave informative commentary about Amsterdam as well as folklure that was humorous and entertaining.

Berend and Ties were the best! We learned so much about Amsterdam, all told with great humor and very interesting stories. Our tour was at 5:30, but we got stuck in traffic. Not to worry, Ties was very flexible in changing our booking to a later time, which relieved us of a huge amount of stress. It started raining as we began the tour. But Berend and Ties were well prepared with umbrellas for everyone. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to experience Amsterdam’s canals in a very special way. Thank you for a truly memorable experience!
The driver & guide were both great- very friendly & personable. We bought tickets ahead of time but the tour was not full, so it was very comfortable & nice to have a small group. We liked that the boat was open and small, compared to the large boats with tons of people. We both the unlimited beer/wine plus cheese option, but we could have skipped the cheese. There are lots of canal tour companies to choose from, and it was hard to determine which to book, and I am glad we picked this one. I would even go in the same tour again, it was interesting & a nice way to see the city & enjoy the weather.
Super fun and informative cruise, and the cocktails were awesome! Andre and David did a great job of explaining all the things canal related with lots of humor thrown in!
