Dopo l'incontro, inizieremo il nostro tour a piedi nella piazza principale "Liria". All'inizio del tour, incontrerai alcuni bei esempi dell'architettura della città risalenti agli anni '30. Visita l'Anfiteatro Romano del II secolo d.C. Costruito durante il regno dell'imperatore Traiano, è uno dei più grandi anfiteatri dei Balcani. Cammina lungo il lungomare godendoti l'aria fresca e la vista della baia più grande dell'Albania. La Cappella Bizantina è la nostra prossima tappa. Cappella paleocristiana costruita sul lato dell'Anfiteatro, l'alcova occidentale della cappella conserva un singolare mosaico policromo che rappresenta l'antica iconografia cristiana. L Poi dirigiti verso la Torre Veneziana, dove una rampa di scale ti porterà sul tetto e ti offrirà alcune delle migliori viste di questa vecchia città, lì potrai rilassarti e fare una pausa caffè.

Had a very interesting tour round the city of Durres. The amphitheater was incredible. We also liked the Venetian tower and learning about the history of Durres there. Sara looked after us extremely well.
