Itinerario

Great tour that we booked last minute. We've already spent a day in town and kind of had a lay of the land, but it was sure nice to get info from a guide. Alex was wonderful and made the tour. A lot of fun. Highly recommend.
Alex was great, very knowledgeable
This was an excellent tour with Branko. He has many years of experience, is extremely knowledgable about Dubrovnik and Croatian history and he was funny. I like the way he engaged the guests with questions. Highly recommended.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Introduction to Dubrovnik's Rich History! Our family had a fantastic walking tour of Dubrovnik with our guide, Davor. We met him easily at the Dubrovnik Walks meeting point at Brsalje 8, identified by the bright orange umbrella near Pile Gate, and our noon tour ended up lasting almost two hours instead of the advertised 1.5 hours—which we certainly didn't mind! From the very beginning, Davor was warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. Rather than simply pointing out landmarks, he brought Dubrovnik's remarkable 1,400-year history to life with fascinating stories about how this beautiful walled city became one of the world's most prosperous maritime republics. His passion for his hometown was evident throughout the tour. Walking through the breathtaking Old Town—with its gleaming white limestone streets and stunning medieval architecture—was unforgettable. Davor expertly guided us past the Franciscan Monastery, Onofrio's Fountain (where we happily filled our water bottles with delicious cold spring water), Orlando's Column, Rector's Palace, Sponza Palace, the Cathedral of the Assumption, and Luža Square. At every stop, he shared historical context, local traditions, and interesting details that we never would have discovered on our own. One thing we especially appreciated was how Davor explained not just the history, but also Dubrovnik's culture, traditions, and the resilience of its people throughout the centuries. His storytelling made every location meaningful and helped us better understand why Dubrovnik is considered one of Europe's greatest historic cities. The pace was comfortable, there was plenty of time to ask questions, and Davor was wonderful with everyone in the group—including our 4-year-old daughter. If you're visiting Dubrovnik for the first time, I highly recommend taking this tour early in your stay. It provides an excellent orientation to the Old Town and gives you a much deeper appreciation for everything you'll see afterward. Five stars for Davor and Dubrovnik Walks. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Croatia!
Our ticket included two tours: 1) City wall and 2) old city walking tour. I am going to talk about them separately. We had same tour guide for both: Goron and he was great. 1) City wall tour: Must Do! The tour includes ticket into wall. The tour lasts about 2 hours- all outdoors and lots of stairs but very manageable. Goron is a wonderful historian and story teller. We didn’t really know anything about Dubrovnik (and we are not Game of Thrones fans) so it was all new to us and the views are breathtaking. Your ticket gets you into other museum but we didn’t have time. 2) Old City Tour- I would either skip or not do back to back with city wall tour. We were there on a cruise stop so time was limited. Between these 2 tours and another one we had later, there wasn’t much down time to walk around on our own and explore or just take a rest from 2 hour city wall tour.
One of the best walking tours I’ve been to globally and it was all thanks to the knowledge and the care of our guide Branko. First all, the headsets helped a lot given how crowded the streets were. Branko had immense knowledge of Croatian history and showed passion and captured our interests the entire time. His own personal history with the war in Yugoslavia and escape to Croatia just made the history richer and more heart breaking. He even went the extra mile and took some on a side tour afterward for the Jewish history. I could not recommend Branko enough. Next time, I would book a private tour with him!
We toured the old town with Branko. Highly recommend! Fascinating.
With our great tour guide Branko we took this tour at the end of June. He told us lots about the ancient and more recent history of Dubrovnik old town and the country of Croatia. He included personal anecdotes that made the stories very relatable. Branko took care to keep us out of the very hot sun whenever he could and reminded everyone to stay hydrated. At €40 for two people it isn’t cheap but it will give you a great deal of information and a good idea of how the city works.
Dear 231deborahr, Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We are thrilled that you enjoyed the tour with us. Kind regards, Dubrovnik Walks Team
This tour is a must if you want a brief history of Dubrovnik. Branko, our guide was great. He explains the sights of Dubrovnik in detail and with a hint of humour. Well worth the €20 per adult price tag. Bring water and wear sensible shoes. We did the tour when the weather was 32 degrees and can be oppressive within the stone walls.
Dear Cabbagerman1969, We appreciate your positive feedback and are happy you had a wonderful experience! Kind regards, Dubrovnik Walks Team
A very nice tour with Branko who was very informative.
