Unfortunately, our visit to this desert camp was very disappointing and in no way met our expectations. Overall, the camp was in poor condition and almost empty. Due to the low occupancy, tables were stacked around on another terrace, which made the overall impression very unkempt and uninviting. In addition, open and empty gasoline/spirit bottles from the fire show were still lying around in several places – this not only seemed unsightly, but also potentially dangerous. The activities offered were very loveless and extremely short: The camel ride lasted only about 2–3 minutes. A camel lay motionless on the ground for several minutes, which we found very strange and worrying. Riding on the horses was also only possible for a few minutes. The horses seemed nervous and shunned several times. Overall, the ride was poorly organized, the stirrups were set much too long, which made the whole thing uncomfortable and not safe. Henna was announced “inside”, but was not findable for us. The photographer was extremely pushy. A clear “no” was not accepted. Later during the meal he held the photos directly over the plates we were eating – very unpleasant and disrespectful. The food was also disappointing. We know other camps where the food was always excellent – unfortunately not here. The meat was very dry, the food cold overall, and the flatbread looked like cheap supermarket goods. The dessert buffet was very small and offered little choice. Drinks could be ordered, but there were practically only two options for soft drinks: Sprite or Pepsi. The show itself was nice and actually the best part of the evening. However, the music was so extremely loud that you couldn't talk during dinner or during the show. A joint evening was hardly possible as a result – everyone was more likely to sit for themselves. Our Apple Watch warned us several times about a volume of over 90 decibels. Overall, the evening was poorly organized, unlovingly implemented and not worth his money. We would not recommend this camp and would definitely choose a different desert camp next time.
We visited recently for a family holiday and I decided to pay for the 'Luxury' version of this experience. Our 45m drive from to the location was fine, but far from a luxury start with the check engine light and other warnings flashing up on the drivers dashboard. When we got there, we were walked in and through the entrance and adorned with traditional head scarves - part of the experience I thought. No! A card reader suddenly appeared and even after asking how much it was multiple times, they suddenly seemed to not understand me. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and later realised that I was charged nearly 700 AED for items which, as far as I can tell, are worth about 200-300 AED. Our kids ran off to play and a photographer came over to us to snap some photos. Who came back shortly after to try and sell us photos at extremely inflated prices. We told him no. Then minutes later, the perfume person came to our table... we said no... a few more minutes later.. the gold person... then the photo person (again)... Don't get me wrong, the food and performance was nice. But the constant pressure from vendors trying to sell you something spoilt the evening. Especially when they didn't take no for an answer. I also struggled to see the Luxury in this experience so won't be booking again.
What to do Hyper kind staff
Beautiful location in the desert! The we rode camels, the food was amazing, and the entertainment was exceptional! The vendors were also courteous and nice. We had an amazing time!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed the beautiful desert setting, the camel ride, and the delicious food. Expensive, very commercialized. Food was average at best, shows were great, people came to your table asking you to buy product. Not a true experience.
Thank you to our driver Mansor he came to pick us up early very polite and knowledgeable about dubai. Car was immaculate clean &comfortable. The desert fortress was beautiful perfect for camel, horse rides and get to take pictures with falcon. Dinner & entertainment was incredible food many choices highly recommended. Rest rooms again immaculate so clean. Definitely would do this again
Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We’re delighted to hear that Mansor made your experience smooth and enjoyable, and that you loved the desert fortress, activities, dinner, and facilities. We truly appreciate your recommendation and would be happy to welcome you again. Mimi
We were looking for a suitable desert tour for some time, without dune bashing, quad biking etc., which also does not last 7 hours, just a nice dinner in the desert - we found it here and our expectations were even exceeded. It started with our friendly driver Syed Assad, who uncomplicatedly contacted WhatsApp for pickup, in a comfortable Nissan Quest along with another couple. The program in the desert fortress was also completely left to everyone - we took beautiful pictures with a trusty falcon, refrained from camel or horse riding (w/animal hair allergy) or henna, and the partly in the reviews criticized too intrusive souk dealers we did not know at all. The dinner was very varied and extensive, the service very attentive and the program as from 1001 nights, which you probably imagine it to be and even better (a single small criticism here - we had a great place relatively far ahead, but which also, as we only discovered afterwards, probably brought small soot stains on the clothes from particles from the fire show, which also went out hard in the cleaning). The ambience in the fortress was simply magical, pure romance, quite relaxed and confirmed us in our choice over the desert camp, which was not far away, but this magic can only offer to a limited extent. After just over 4 hours Syed brought us back to our hotel safe and relaxed - a wonderful unique experience we would not want to miss.
Beautiful location, horses, camels and falcon... delicious food. Show was all right. Have booked the excursion mainly because of the location
Having attended different Desert Safaris and Dinners, we were pleased to discover a new resort and concept from Tour Dubai with following highlights : We loved the fortress design and infrastructure, the delicious and abundant buffet, the pleasant camel and arabic horse rides and the fantastic experienced staff for these activities, the falcon holding (amazing !). The performance show was average and not as amazing as for other providers. We didn't like the over-expensive prices for any adds-on (such as Shisha) and had a particularly bad experience on the expensive car transfer. On the way to the Fortress, the driver didn't had any GPS and used an inappropriate route resulting in more than 30 minutes delay. During the dinner, the driver left and we were abandonned on the parking without solution to return to Dubai. Thankfully, one of the employee of the resort brought us with his personal car back to our place and we would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to this person for his amazing assistance and support.
Overpriced and very clever The dinner of only slice of capocollo potatoes and salad in a lake of oil Covered my surprise of sweets for my husband bad desserts and I had asked no more than 10.00€ were too few to cost 15.00€ four sweets, the rest where was it? Parking 20.00€ more a shame We will not return
