Dopo il ritiro, visiteremo Wat Umong. Questo tempio incastonato nella foresta è completamente diverso dagli altri templi tipici, questo è costruito all'interno di un tunnel. Entra nei tunnel di Wat Umong e ammira le impressionanti immagini del Buddha. Non importa quale religione hai. Quando entri nel tunnel, ti sussurra i segreti di questo mondo e l'antica storia di questo tempio costruito nel 1297.
Risali a bordo del minivan e guida le dolci colline che circondano Chiang Mai per vivere il Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. Quindi sali una scala di 306 gradini che porta al tempio di Doi Suthep. Questa scala che conduce al sito è adornata dall'imponente corpo del mitico serpente dalla testa di drago, o Naga, che scende serpeggiando 306 gradini. Questo è sicuramente il modo migliore per avvicinarsi al tempio, ma c'è anche una funicolare se si è meno fermi. Just a cathartic evening of spirituality. Rising above Chiang Mai to witness the majestic grounds of this temple was amazing.
Nice small group and knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Both sites also have lots of history and worth seeing up close. Would have been nice to watch the sunset from the viewing platform at the top of the steps but that aside, we thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

We had an absolutely wonderful time visiting both sites. We chose the evening tour and were not disappointed. The air-conditioned van ride, both Pick Up and Drop Off to and from hotel, was safe and comfortable. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, attentive, respectful and friendly. He was mindful of the range of ages and needs in his group, and provided support when needed. He took the time to highlight interesting historical references, meanings, and insights we would otherwise have missed. Doi Suthep was especially stunning, a feast for the eyes that left us speechless and in awe. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience

It is worth this night visit. In addition to seeing it illuminated, heat and crowds of tourists are avoided. The girl who made us the guide very good, gave us very interesting information. Then he gave us a very good restaurant recommendation for dinner and even took us there. Top!

Great experience. Our guide took the time to explain what Buddhism entails. He explained the story of the Buddha through the fresco that goes around the temple. It was really great. And the Doi Suthep at night plus the view of Chiang Mai is absolutely to do
