Souq Waqif (arabo: سوق واقف) è un mercato (souq) a Doha, nello stato del Qatar. Il suq vende abiti tradizionali, spezie, artigianato e souvenir. Ospita anche ristoranti e sale shisha. L'edificio originale risale alla fine del XIX secolo e all'inizio del XX secolo in uno stile architettonico tradizionale del Qatar. Fortunatamente, nel 2004, si è deciso di preservare questo sito storico, quindi l'intera area del mercato è stata rinnovata e restaurata secondo le tradizionali tecniche architettoniche del Qatar. Probabilmente è l’unico suq tradizionale rimasto nel Golfo.

A circa 60 km da Doha, nell’angolo sud-orientale del paese, si trova una delle meraviglie naturali più impressionanti del Qatar, il “Mare Interno” o Khor Al Adaid. Riserva naturale riconosciuta dall'UNESCO con un proprio ecosistema, questo è uno dei pochi luoghi al mondo in cui il mare invade in profondità il cuore del deserto. Inaccessibile dalla strada, questa tranquilla distesa d'acqua può essere raggiunta solo attraverso le dune ondulate.

Had a great tour experience with Jaber. The tour company and guide where very accommodating of our slight change of time. Pick up from our accommodation was seamless, the package was exciting and fulfilled accordingly. I absolutely recommend them!
Jus wanted to highlight the amazing trip we had done today with one of the best ever met tour guide , a true professional , a person who is dependable , Mr Shafi. The trip was jus amazing and Shafi had a clear plan on how to guide us , we were able to complete the desert tour + quad bikes+ falcon photography and camel rider including the inland sea within the time frame Truly recommend this tour guide .

Our guide NaQash was fabulous. We choose the combo desert safari / city tour as we had a long layover in Doha. NaQash picked us up from the airport with excellent communication via WhatsApp. It was the 31st May - very hot and windy in the desert but still lots of fun and totally worth seeing - due to the temperature & wind we chose not to camel ride or do any of the extra desert activities but that didn’t detract from the experience. We loved NaQash’s tour of old and new Doha city. He was an excellent guide - always stopping for photo opportunities. The 4WD was air-conditioned and we were in and out of the car for short stops to take photos. He was very flexible with the tour - constantly checking if we were ok to keep walking when it was hot or if we needed to get back in the car. He had cold bottled water available. Very glad we did this day tour - even if it wasn’t the best time of year to see Doha it was totally worth it.
