Sare è uno dei villaggi più graziosi dei Paesi Baschi ed è stato nominato uno dei villaggi più belli di Francia. Situato ai piedi della Rhune o "Larun", questo villaggio ha una ricca storia e una vera atmosfera locale. Un tempo paradiso dei contrabbandieri, i suoi sentieri tortuosi sono molto apprezzati dagli escursionisti. Un villaggio a due passi dalla costa basca... Durante questa passeggiata, attraverseremo l'incantevole villaggio di Ascain per raggiungere il Col de Saint-Ignace, che sale a 759 m ed è il punto di partenza del famoso minitreno della Rhune. Con qualche gita sul sito .... potrete avvicinarvi ai maiali neri dei Pirenei semi-liberi, ai Pottok e, con un po' di fortuna, a qualche rapace. Rimarrete abbagliati dalla vista sulla baia di Saint Jean de Luz. ...Questa passeggiata piacerà a....Chiunque ami i villaggi tradizionali e le belle strade di montagna...
Ascain è un comune francese del dipartimento dei Pyrénées-Atlantiques, nella regione della Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Confinante con la Spagna sulla cima de La Rhune, l'ultima vetta pirenaica, a sei chilometri dalla costa atlantica, è bagnata dalla Nivelle, un fiume costiero che nasce in Navarra (Spagna) e attraversa i Paesi Baschi francesi, in particolare la tradizionale provincia basca di Labourd (capoluogo: Bayonne), di cui il comune fa parte.
Sare è un comune francese del dipartimento dei Pyrénées-Atlantiques, nella regione della Nouvelle-Aquitaine, al confine con la Spagna. Si affaccia sulla catena montuosa dei Pirenei, che forma un circo intorno all'area occupata dalla città, aprendosi a est e a nord. La sua storia geologica spiega la formazione di grotte occupate durante l'Aurignaziano, mentre l'Età del Bronzo ha lasciato numerosi monumenti funerari sui pendii e sugli altopiani del comune. Oggi il suo territorio costituisce un'enclave nella Comunidad Foral de Navarra, con la quale condivide un confine di 25 km e la lingua basca. Questa particolarità ha avuto un forte impatto sulla storia del comune, che nel corso dei secoli ha firmato accordi pastorali con i comuni spagnoli vicini.

Some people might think it's a bit expensive, but not at all. The experience is really worth the trip. Philippe, our guide, is exceptional, attentive, and takes great care of us. He took us to places where we wouldn't have gone. It was a really great walk. If we come back to the area, we will ask for a longer tour. No age barrier, Mom is 80 years old, so no excuse for those who want to set limits for themselves at this level. Give it a try, you will come away satisfied and amazed.. The unmissable excursion for an atypical visit of the (small part) Basque Country supervised by two passionate of this sublime region. 2h walk with 2 children8 aged 9 and 5 who have A-DO-RÉ. Wonderful memories, extraordinary landscapes. A great time! A discovery to book without further delay.

2h walk to discover the Basque country with 2 motorcycles and side cars, for 2 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 9 years. Great experience! Possibility to be on the back of the bike from 8 years old, small coffee during the shower, discovering pigs and small hair free, good equipment provided, beautiful commented discovery. We recommend!

An absolutely incredible experience with the Pbourlingeurs! The sidecar ride was a real moment of happiness from start to finish. Pascal and Philippe are very sympathetic, very warm and caring, which makes the adventure even more enjoyable. The scenery was simply beautiful, with a particularly memorable moment at the top of Mount Jara when the view was breathtaking. We discover the region in a totally different, original and immersive way. This is an activity that we highly recommend, especially for those who can’t take long hikes: it’s a great way to enjoy effortless panoramas, comfortably installed, with hair in the wind. A unique experience that we will repeat without hesitation during our next visit to the region!
