Descrizione
Imbarcati a bordo di una moderna barca tradizionale dotata di tendalino e lasciati guidare dal Capitano Greg alla scoperta della costa caraibica. Durante questa escursione di 4 ore, navigherai lungo la costa sottovento, poi ti sposterai un po' più al largo per incontrare i delfini per un'osservazione nel loro ambiente naturale. Prenderai quindi la direzione di Bellefontaine per scoprire la sua grotta dei pipistrelli e goderti una nuotata in acque cristalline con magnifici fondali corallini. La tua mattinata continuerà con uno spuntino creolo con paté salati tradizionali, fioriere, succhi fatti in casa e frutta fresca.

The tour itself can be very nice but our guide was very disinterested and did the bare minimum. He provided no information about the island as we were going by on the boat or any indication of what we were looking at. We spent a long time “looking” for dolphins without success. It wasn’t until a guide from another boat called our guide with a dolphin location that we were able to see them. Even when we got to the dolphins, our guide didn’t even engage to point to the directions where they were popping out. We also got no information about the types of dolphins we were seeing. Then we were taken to the bat cave and besides pointing at them, the guide offered no information at all about them. When we went to the snorkel spot, again no information. He handed out some snacks and drinks and then took us back to the marina. He didn’t even tell us his name so I’m unable to say who it was! He drove the boat and served some snacks and drinks. He did not “guide”.
Hello, We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. Regarding the dolphin search, it was particularly difficult that day. Among professional captains, it is perfectly normal to communicate when a group of dolphins is located in order to optimize sightings for all passengers. Regarding the explanations, our captain provided them in French, which is the local language. If you do not mention that you do not understand French, it is unfortunately impossible for him to guess. We are always happy to adapt when requested. Furthermore, you are the only passengers on this excursion to report a lack of explanation. The captain did present the two species of dolphins observed, as well as their main characteristics, including their size and weight. Nevertheless, we take your feedback into consideration and thank you for sharing your experience.
The guide is very friendly and humorous; the dolphin tour went exceptionally well: it was easy to find them. The fish we saw while swimming were very varied. I deduct one point from the meeting because during our reservation, the address of Fort-de-France was indicated, but the guide was waiting for us in Trois-Îlets (according to his papers, we had requested a pickup when we had not, and he took the time to wait before leaving), so he arrived later in Fort-de-France, so do not panic if he does not arrive at exactly 8:00 AM!

Absolutely magnificent experience, our captain, greg, knew how to answer our questions and had already inquired about the location of dolphins, no need to look long. It was beautiful! Homemade snack, squash and planter, juice and sun! All the conditions were met! Diving in the reef, a real open-air aquarium! We highly recommend this experience!

It is a unique and authentic experience. The captain (Greg) introduced us to the different kinds of dolphins that exist offshore, all along the west coast. View of the Pelee Mountain in the background. Discover the bat cave and swim in 3 to 4m of water to get the full view with the different kinds of tropical fish. Our children particularly enjoyed jumping off the boat and discovering this marine fauna. The boat ride is very appreciable. I recommend!

Elle comprend un plateau de fruits frais (ananas, melon, banane) ainsi que des pâtés salée pas d’accras. Concernant les explications durant la sortie, le capitaine s’adapte à l’ambiance à bord. Lorsque les passagers souhaitent profiter d’un moment calme ou en famille, il choisit volontairement de rester discret afin de respecter ce moment. Bien entendu, il reste toujours disponible et ravi de partager des informations dès que l’échange est engagé.

Pros for us: - boat met us just 3 minutes walking from our cruise ship - Greg was on time & gave us a great experience - boat is well maintained - snacks & drinks after snorkeling were excellent We went to two great turtle snorkeling spots & saw two pods of dolphins. Highly recommend!
