Wow - if you love food, visit San Sebastian and make sure you do it with Eske guiding you. Either as part of her group tours or as a private guide. We went as a group of 8 and booked a private tour with her. From the moment we met she was fun fun fun. We are quite a handful as a bunch but she kept the tour focussed and in check and took us to places we would have never have thought of going to. And the bars that we had heard of...she just skips to the front of the queue....it was a Saturday and heaving...so just that alone is worth booking her for. But Eske is not just a tour guide - she is a gastronomic expert with qualifications to match - she gave us some insight to the foods we were eating and a bit of history of the bars and the area too. It was such a lovely evening and we all can't stop talking about it and her and cannot wait to visit SS again. Will defo be booking another tour with her when we do.

Eskerne, aka “The Mayor,” is a fabulous guide. She is known by the chefs and staff throughout the old town. All of our pintxo selections came from the kitchen, not the countertop. As a bonus, we got a great deal of historical information during our walk. Absolutely fabulous experience.

It was our first time in San Sebastián so we booked Eske’s tour to give us a good first day introduction- it was incredible. If you’re looking for a pintxos tour in San Sebastián, look no further. This is the one! Our guide, Eske, was absolutely fantastic. She is incredibly knowledgeable, intelligent, and has a wonderful sense of humor that kept everyone engaged from beginning to end. She shared fascinating Basque history and culture in a way that was both informative and entertaining. One of the highlights was that she introduced us to several special pintxos we never would have ordered on our own, and they ended up being some of our favorite bites of the evening. She also made sure everyone was well cared for and even took photos throughout the tour so we could simply enjoy the experience and have wonderful memories to take home. Eski is the perfect guide! Not only did she take us to the best Pintxos bars, she spicyed it with an introduction to San Sebastian’s history and we stopped standing in long queues. We visited both popular, hip-hop bars, but also hidden pearls. Recommended on the warmest.

Absolutely the best. My wasted time - I had spent many hours prior to this trip investigating the best pintxos bars in old town San Sebastian. I knew that our group of nine.... Wait, eleven would all want to tour the great pintxos of San Sebastian. Not only did Eskerne hit the same locations I had planned, she added so much more than I could have brought to the tour. Inside and Fast track - Because she knows everyone, we were able to meet some of the owners and we fast-tracked a lot of the lines of people waiting to get into some of these locations. One bill, not seven - With eleven people, we did not spend any time deciding who would pick up the bill for each stop as it was all a part of what Eskerne brought to the tour. History and Education - The absolutely best part was the history of the bar, town, and food that she brought to the tour. Certainly a lot more than I was brining to the group.

My wife and I booked a private tour with Eskerne Falcón (Eski) through Discover San Sebastian, and it was hands-down the best food tour we’ve ever taken across multiple cities and countries. The experience was flawless from the start. Eski met us right at our hotel and took the time to truly customize our day. She asked detailed questions about our food and drink preferences, and carefully reviewed where we had already been in town to ensure we wouldn't repeat a single thing. We kicked off the morning with about an hour of exploring the city. I didn't know much about San Sebastián's background and hadn't expected a history lesson, but it was absolutely amazing. Starting at 10:30 AM, we weren't quite hungry yet, so this historical intro was the perfect buffer to build up an appetite. By the time we started eating around 11:30 AM, the timing was immaculate. Everything was fresh out of the kitchen—absolutely nothing microwaved. We bypassed all the usual lines and waiting, starting at a hidden-gem pintxos bar I never would have stepped into on my own. It isn't plastered all over social media, which is clearly why the locals love it. Right out of the gate, we had a seared scallop served on an oyster shell with a green coconut curry sauce that remains our #1 favorite bite of our entire vacation so far. We also had an incredible tomato gazpacho with ice cream, pickled cucumber, and anchovies that was a total "wow" moment. I won’t spoil the entire itinerary, but the exclusive access Eski provides is unmatched. We met multiple owners, tasted off-menu dishes made exclusively for her, and even got to try the highly coveted tortilla from Bar Antonio. What really sets this tour apart, though, is Eski herself. She made us feel completely comfortable, and her genuine passion for showing off her hometown is infectious. Her service didn't end when the tour did, either. She sent us a full recap of everywhere we went and what we ate, along with a treasure trove of additional recommendations for bars we wouldn't have thought to visit. She stayed in touch for the rest of our time in San Sebastián, answering our questions and even pulling strings to secure an "impossible" reservation at a highly coveted restaurant I had been completely unable to book myself. This was a truly unforgettable experience. If you are even contemplating booking with Eski, do it immediately. If we were staying in town longer, we would have booked a second tour without hesitation!
