Il nostro viaggio inizierà da Yogyakarta all'altopiano di Dieng per assistere all'alba dorata da Sikunir. La posizione nebbiosa, le sorgenti sulfuree, gli antichi templi e i laghi colorati rendono davvero questo luogo di meraviglie naturali e di significato culturale. Visiteremo il tempio Arjuna, piccoli templi indù che risalgono al VII secolo. ora abbiamo 10 templi invece di 400 (Storia di Java: libro di Raffles 1817) Le persone hanno templi creati con abilità che chiamiamo (Sipi). Prima che “Sipi” costruisca un tempio per il pubblico, Sipi deve creare un piccolo tempio in quest'area e mostrarlo al leader di Sipi. Sono così tanti templi in questa zona molto tempo fa.

Itinerario
Prelievo dal tuo hotel a Yogyakarta a mezzanotte, il viaggio verso l'altopiano di Dieng durerà circa 3 ore in auto. L'escursione al punto di osservazione dell'alba dell'altopiano di Dieng in cima alla collina di Sikunir dura 20-30 minuti dai piedi del sentiero che porta in cima. In una giornata limpida, puoi vedere fino a 8 vulcani dalla cima di questa collina e l'alba esce da dietro 8 vulcani, momento bellissimo in quel momento. Nota: il tempo di viaggio totale è di circa 6 ore, questo è il tempo stimato per il trasporto verso tutte le località da/per.
Dalla cima della collina di Sikunir, ti dirigerai verso il lago Telaga Warna attraverso la collina di Batu Pandang dopo l'alba sull'altopiano di Dieng. Il lago Telaga Warna, o "lago colorato", contiene acqua che può cambiare in colori fluttuanti. A volte può essere verde, viola, giallo o addirittura assumere i colori dell'arcobaleno! Questo fenomeno si verifica quando il sole colpisce l'acqua a causa del suo alto contenuto di zolfo.
Visita il cratere Sikidang, che è un cratere di zolfo aperto con fango gorgogliante arrabbiato e vapore muggito. È ambientato in un paesaggio accidentato e polveroso che ti farà sentire come se fossi arrivato sulla luna. Assisterai a una persona del posto che fa bollire le uova nel cratere e prende lo zolfo.

The itinerary was comprehensive and the views were great. Our guide, Deny, was knowledgeable and shared a lot about the stories / background of the places we visited. He also paid a lot of attention to our safety when climbing up and down Sikunir Hill for the sunrise views. While the drive was long, the views and experience made up for it (kudos to our driver, Bayu, for making the drive smooth and enjoyable despite the traffic!). No regrets booking this tour and highly recommend anyone visiting Yogyakarta to try this once!

Yuni was our local guide. He was timely and friendly. Besides the paid portion of the tour, he showed us the local areas as well.

The waking up early and the long drive is worth the view. This was our third day with the same tour operator and each tour was of the same great level. In this activity, our tour guide was Didik who was beyond helpful. We packed a light jacket and he went out of his way to try and find us a shop to get a ticker one. Didik was not only insightful throughout the whole activity but took us some great photos! He’s also so warm and welcoming, made us feel comfortable throughout. We cannot thank him enough! This activity is a must when you’re in Yogyakarta. My only advice is to wear winter clothes and take a thick jacket since the weather until sunrise is quite cold.

We had a blast with on this excursion! Sigit (our driver) made our experience very comfortable. Although we had to wake up very early in the morning, Sigit’s energy truly kept us going! We were lucky to have a clear day and viewed all 8 volcanoes from the top of Dieng. The lake was very beautiful and the hot springs were a really cool experience. Sigit gave us some great recommendations of local restaurants and things to do around Yogya. He was extremely accommodating and was very helpful to us as his English is great and it was easy to communicate. Great time overall 10/10

Visited 33 years ago when the site was just temples in an open field.Driver Danni helped locate local musician who was playing with a traditional group there that time so I was able to give him his photo with the group . Also photos of the site as it once was. Now it is a major tourist site but is well worth it if you are interested in Indonesian history.

One of the greatest sunrise I have done. Check your weather and make some offerings at shrine for that (pun intended). Driver, Sigit, was punctual, fun and great travel-partner overall if you are solo traveler. The hike to the top of the hill is not-so-much hard, but bring comfy shoes and OUTER (It is COLD, and you need to wait an hour or so to see the rise). Anyway, I would recommend to anyone who love sunrise and a bit of hike. Other visits are also well-designed and give you some more photo-ops.

We had a perfect excursion to Dieng Plateau, which was ca.3 hours drive from our hotel. The sunrise was beautiful, but dress properly, it is quite chilli up there. We had an excellent guide, Atok, who gave answer to all of our questions, and told many interesting things about the country, the sights, about traditions etc. It was really interesting. He not only drove us to the originally planned places, but he bought local fruit, snake fruit for us, and we also visited a Kopi Luwak coffee shop. It was a great experience with him, he did everything, that we enjoy our journey. Thank you!
