Iniziamo il tour con un prelievo al tuo hotel, poi la guida ti porterà nella città di Tigre dove farai una navigazione di 1 ora su comode barche attraverso il Rio de La Plata con le migliori viste panoramiche della città , navigando lungo il quinto delta più grande del mondo. La guida ti aspetterà a Tigre per visitare in un'auto privata le famose strade acciottolate di San Isidro insieme alla sua Cattedrale e i punti principali della città di Tigre, come il Paseo Victorica, i musei e il casinò. Visiteranno anche il Puerto de Frutos, dove avranno tempo libero per esplorare e fare acquisti. Alla fine del tour, ti riaccompagneremo al tuo hotel.

Il porto della frutta è un piccolo molo sulle rive del fiume Luján nella città di Tigre, accanto al quale si trova il mercato della frutta. Devono il loro nome al fatto che fino alla metà del XX secolo vi sbarcava la produzione di frutta del delta del Paraná, che veniva poi commercializzata nella città di Buenos Aires.
Paseo Victorica è un luogo eccezionale, che unisce natura, vista sul fiume, gastronomia, club di canottaggio e monumenti storici.
La Cattedrale di San Isidro è un tempio religioso di stile neogotico. Ha adottato forme di tale stile utilizzate in Europa tra il XII e il XVI secolo, con l'unica differenza che sono stati utilizzati materiali e tecniche moderne. Il più caratteristico della Cattedrale sono le sue linee snelle disegnate dalla religiosità in modo che puntino verso il cielo. La sua facciata è stata restaurata con finta pietra e mattoni a vista con compiti di modellare gli ornamenti originali in un'officina. La sua torre principale è alta 68 m. La sua base è a croce latina a tre navate con abside circolare. Le colonne sono cilindriche e le pareti in pietra e mattoni hanno aperture con vetrate realizzate in Francia e rosoni gotici. Entrando nel Duomo, se ne può apprezzare l'imponenza attraverso le sue forme che risaltano dall'ultimo restauro. All'interno si possono vedere le colonne e gli archi in stile neogotico che portano all'altare.
La stazione fluviale di Tigre, dove possiamo goderci ciò che la città ha da offrirci. Il servizio sulle nostre barche comprende audioguida in spagnolo, inglese e portoghese. e poi entrare nella prima sezione del Delta del Paraná. Entreremo attraverso i fiumi San Antonio, la zona “Tres bocas” e poi il fiume Sarmiento, lungo il percorso vedremo attrazioni riconosciute come il Museo Casa Sarmiento, attività ricreative e locande tipiche della zona, case private, banchine, locali tipici vegetazione della zona, delta e vita particolare dell'isola.

After hearing from several people that we needed to visit the Tigre Delta we booked an afternoon private tour. We drove from the city center through Ave Libertador which was a very nice scenery, we stopped at San Isidro and saw the church and then proceeded to take a catamaran boat tour on the rivers Sarmientos and San Antonio. We were unable to walk around the San Fernando port area nor stop for lunch but it was a beautiful scenery.

The boat ride on the Tigre Delta (about 100 passengers n the boat) was pleasant and interesting. The "private tour" aspect was transportation to and from our hotel. Four of us were crammed uncomfortably into a small car. The driver spoke very little English, so there was not a lot of commentary about the sites in between the hotel and boat ride. Main activity was to try to sell us on a stop where we were supposed to purchase leather goods. We turned it down. In sum, would have been better to take a big bus tour.

We booked with Depasseios LLC (dp) for a city tour through Get Your Guide, and we had a great experience. Because of this, we went directly to the dp website to book the Tigre Delta tour. What a different experience, and not in a good way. They lost our reservation, and no tour guide showed up to pick us up at the scheduled time of 9am. Fortunately, we still had Luca, our city tour guide, on WhatsApp, and he was able to make contact with the office (none of the numbers we were provided with for dp worked), and they scrambled to find a guide for us who arrived at 10:15 am. The great news is that Diego, our eventual tour guide, was fantastic! We made it to Tigre by noon for the river tour, and we still had a successful day. At the end of the tour, Diego introduced us to El Ateneo Grand Splendid, an opera house converted into a bookstore, which we would have never found without Diego. So my rating is a 5 for Diego, and a 1 for Depasseios LLC, the tour company. That averages out to a 3.

This tour wasn’t what we expected. The guide picked us up at our hotel and drove us to Tigre. The guide seemed surprised that we expected him to get on the boat with us. He was just going to wait on the pier. Good thing he came, because the boat narrator didn’t say anything in English. Our guide was able to tell us what she said. The Tigre delta was not very picturesque. Mainly old houses along the river, most in bad repair.

Maurice was our guide and did a great job. He showed us the sites on the way to Tigre. The boat trip was very nice. It makes a loop through the delta. Very pretty area. We had beautiful weather for a boat ride. Lots of shade on the top level to enjoy the views. I highly recommend!
