Il nostro tour inizia al St. John Bakery, dove proveremo le loro deliziose ciambelle per iniziare bene il tour. Da lì, cammineremo lungo Borough High Street fermandoci lungo la strada per parlare un po' di storia, ristoranti, pub e qualsiasi altra cosa di cui abbiamo voglia di parlare. La nostra seconda tappa è proprio vicino al Borough Market, uno dei mercati pubblici più antichi di Londra, dove assaggeremo delle ciambelle più sorprendenti. Assicurati di mantenere il ritmo: è una maratona, non uno sprint. La nostra terza tappa è in realtà nello stesso Borough Market, dove assaggerai delle ciambelle assolutamente sbalorditive che vengono preparate fresche ogni giorno nella loro scuola di pasticceria. E la nostra ultima e ultima fermata a Crosstown Donuts ti regalerà una vista sbalorditiva del Tower Bridge che devi vedere per credere. You get 2 experiences for the price of one! A range of tasty doughnuts, including from a Michelin - starred establishment, and also alongside that some very interesting history about the local area around Borough Market and Tower Bridge from a knowledgeable and friendly guide. I lived in London for many years and used to come to this area frequently, but still learnt some really interesting things. So awe-inspiring to visit the exact spots where the likes of Dickens and Shakespeare have gone before - you can’t say you’ve really been to London if you haven’t taken in any of the history of this amazing city. I ended up having a 1:1 tour with Caroline, where we had a lovely chat for a few hours and I learnt some really interesting facts and enjoyed a generous amount of doughnuts! Enough to take some away to enjoy later. I would definitely recommend the tour- you’ll particularly love it if you have a sweet tooth and enjoy history.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **A hidden gem — so much more than donuts** We did this tour as a family with two kids and it was genuinely one of the highlights of our London trip. Our guide Caroline was brilliant — warm, engaging, and wonderful with the children. She had a real gift for bringing the history of Southwark and Borough to life in a way that kept everyone interested, not just the adults. The donuts were delicious (St John's Bakery was the standout), but what surprised us most was how good the tour itself was. It's really a relaxed two-hour walking history of one of London's oldest neighbourhoods, with great food woven through it. The pacing was perfect — never rushed, never boring. Caroline also had excellent local knowledge beyond just the tour stops — she pointed us toward things we never would have found on our own and gave us genuine recommendations for the rest of our time in London, which we really appreciated. It felt like spending the morning with a knowledgeable local friend rather than a tourist experience.

We had a very lovely personal tour with Andy and Caroline. The donuts and tea were so nice and the history/story telling gave us some information and enjoyment that we didn’t expect. We would recommend this tour to anyone who likes donuts and history. Both Andy and Caroline had so many details about London, fun facts, and they were witty too. Must try.
