Bocale è una testimonianza di produzione artigianale del vino di alta qualità nel rispetto del territorio, dell’ambiente e delle persone che ci lavorano e ci vivono da generazioni. L’azienda ha avviato nel 2020 la conversione al Biologico In vigna non si utilizzano erbicidi, il suolo è inerbito tra i filari per ridurre le lavorazioni meccaniche, l’erosione e il dilavamento. Il vigneto è trattato con la tecnica del sovescio generalmente favino e la fertilità del suolo è reintegrata con fertilizzanti organici e minerali senza l'uso di prodotti chimici. In cantina si utilizzano soltanto lieviti indigeni e non si effettuano, né microfiltrazioni, né stabilizzazioni. Il vino che si ottiene è il risultato di un processo artigianale nel rispetto dei cicli ambientali e delle naturali attitudini di un territorio. L’azienda si estende su 10 ettari di cui 6 vitati ed ha una produzione annua media di 35.000 bottiglie.

Valentino is a great host, we sampled four of his red wines, all of which are excellent and tasted better with each bottle. We were told about the family history of his organic vineyard and how he had chosen to make changes to go green. As he had sold out of their white wine Valentino gave us the opportunity to sample his Grappa, which was delicious. A perfect vine tasting experience and very reasonably priced.

It’s a smaller family run winery that produces gorgeous wine and a smaller amount of very special olive oils . Valentino is knowledgeable of course but also patient , charming and has a great sense of humor . It was our favorite winery tasting / tour . FYI - if you book the 12 noon tasting it’s literally a tasting , not normally the tour of the vineyard , the barrel room and the fermentation vats , etc . Valentino was kind enough to take us through the aforementioned parts but it’s not part of the 12noon tour normally .
