Giacca impermeabile (consigliata in bassa stagione)

Our pickup and drop off went well. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best for this tour. There was no walking in the water at either the waterfall or the gorge due to the heavy rain the previous day. This tour would be great if you like zip lining, kayaking and buggy riding. We enjoyed the views with out participating in any of these activities. The ancient city of Tlos was a highlight for us, as was the drive through the countryside.
Hello, thank you for your kind comment. We are glad if we could make you happy.
My husband and I were picked up from our hotel for the saklikent day Trip. We transferred to a larger bus where we proceeded to our destination, the coach driving was impeccable. The tour guide K.C. was very informative, pointing out things of interest on the way to Saklikent, the larger gorge was absolutely fantastic, the views through the gorge were out of this world, my husband and I managed to walk through the water and through the gorge, hard hats are an essential because of the risk of falling rocks, lots of activities around the gorge like rafting, jeep safari and zip lines, we spent two hours at the gorge, then onto a trout farm for Lunch, menu was salad and either chicken or freshly cooked trout, wasn't too impressed with the lunch, then onto the Ancient ruins at Tlos. When booking the experience it states euros which I bought to pay the entrance fee for the ruins and the gorge, but they were very reluctant to take euros, so don't take much notice of the currency they preferred turkish lire. The tour guide was very informative about the ruins and after his talk, we were free to explore the ruins ourselves. Meeting back at the bus for the journey back to our hotels. I couldn't fault the driver, tour guide and the company who organised the trip. It's an experience we will never forget and worth every penny we paid for it. Many thanks indeed

We arranged this trip through a local travel agent. I have no complaints about the way the trip was organised at all. We were collected from our hotel and taken to the tour bus. We visited in order the Gizlikent Selalesi waterfall which is extremely beautiful. The Saklikent Gorge was magnificent and awe inspiring. We were then taken to an odd sort of lunch stop for a very poor quality lunch. We weren't told that we had to pay extra for drinks which were sold at exorbitant prices, eg the equivalent of £5.00 for a small bottle of Coke! We were then taken to the ancient Lycian city of Tlos, which is quite well preserved and again was in a very beautiful and dramatic setting. All 3 destinations are " must see" if you visit this part of Turkey. However the tour guide was by far the worst I've ever encountered. He had no microphone on a noisy and air-conditioned bus, so it was impossible to hear much of what he said. When he did speak, he imparted NO information at all about any of the places we were going to visit. All he did was tell us practical details like how long we would be visiting for and where the bus would collect us. The only time,he did decide to provide us with information was about Tlos. His information was misguided and I used my phone to give us the correct information. The sites were wonderful but the tour was spoiled by this lazy and inept guide.
Hello, your comment is valuable to us. We will make an effort to be more careful about lunch. We will take your warning seriously. Thank you.
We really enjoyed this day trip that was not too long but gave time to see the sights. Saklikent gorge was incredible, soaring cliffs that changed as the morning light shifted. We walked most of the way (500m) to where it becomes a scramble. Despite the water being limestone cloudy and impossible to judge depth, it was mostly ankle height and never above knees. We loved it. Lunch was a whole fried trout with salad and was very nice. The ancient city of Tlos was also spectacular with well preserved ruins and amazing views. There was only a little interpretation but the guide was helpful. The last stop was at a family park that was privately run and a bit of a tourist trap - not worth it. If you like seeing farming and how rural people live the drive out was also excellent. Overall, a very good day with a very good guide.

Wonderful trip that had everything that was promised. Jesus our clearly loves his country and showed it off to great effect. Rafting at Saklikent was really good fun although wevwete soaked (dont forget your beach shoes). The zip wire was OK but not very high and not very long. The gorge itself is stunning. Easy walk along a raised walkway gave really easy access to the gorge. You can go further but need steady feet and sensible shoes to walk along the waters edge. Lunch at yaka park was very tasty. Tlos was incredible but you can only access the site with good knees and ankles as the paths are stony and at times slippy. We still enjoyed the site from ground level. Our teen was very happy so we would definitely recommend this trip for families with teens.
Thank you very much for your kind comment :). We are very happy that you were satisfied.
