Il Parco Nazionale di Lahemaa è un luogo con paesaggi mozzafiato e natura incontaminata. Si possono trovare bellissime penisole e baie, foreste e spiagge, cascate e torbiere condite da una ricca storia culturale. Questa gita di un giorno è perfetta per trascorrere una giornata fuori Tallinn. La prima tappa sulla strada è la cascata di Jägala, dopodiché avrete una pittoresca passeggiata nella palude di Viru. Andrai sul lungomare che conduce alla torre di osservazione dove potrai ammirare come la vegetazione unica contrasta con le limpide pozze di torbiera. La prossima tappa è Sagadi OR Palmse Manor, dove si può conoscere l'eredità dei proprietari terrieri Tedeschi che vivono nella campagna estone per secoli. L'ultima visita è al villaggio di Käsmu o Altja che sono unici in quanto rappresentano l'architettura dei nostri villaggi di pescatori come erano prima della creazione della zona di confine costiera durante il periodo sovietico. NB! L'ordine delle attività può differire. Durante il tour è prevista una pausa pranzo (non inclusa nel prezzo).

La cascata di Jägala è la cascata naturale più alta dell'Estonia che scende da una scogliera calcarea alta 8 metri. La tua guida ti spiegherà come è stata formata la cascata e avrai la possibilità di vedere la cascata da un punto più alto o scendere dal fiume più vicino alla cascata. È un'opportunità fotografica straordinaria con le cascate e la rigogliosa foresta verde intorno.
Il sentiero delle torbiere di Viru è facile da percorrere poiché inizia lungo un sentiero forestale liscio e conduce a una passerella che passa davanti alla torbiera. Raggiungerete la piattaforma panoramica o la torre al centro della palude dove potrete sorvegliare la maggior parte della palude con le sue piscine di paludi trasparenti. In estate, quando fa caldo, si può nuotare in queste piscine paludose (portare l'attrezzatura da nuoto). Il repellente per zanzare potrebbe essere portato con sé (stagione estiva).
Palmse Manor è una delle più grandi dimore barocche in Estonia. Il palazzo e il museo a cielo aperto costituirono il primo complesso padronale completamente restaurato del paese. L'altra opzione è visitare Sagadi Manor. Il complesso del maniero di Sagadi è un patrimonio del periodo Baltico-Tedesco in Estonia e offre la possibilità di conoscere il suo background storico e ammirare la bellezza della sua architettura romantica. Entrambi sono circondati dal bellissimo ambiente naturale del Parco Nazionale di Lahemaa e forniscono una panoramica della vita e dell'architettura dei manieri estoni nel corso dei secoli. Durante il tour, solo uno di questi manieri sarà visitato, a seconda della stagione o delle preferenze del cliente.
Le prime notizie scritte di un villaggio nel Käsmu risalgono al 1453. Era sede di una scuola marittima, e praticamente ogni famiglia aveva il suo capitano o coxswain istruito lì. Ecco perché Käsmu era conosciuto come il "villaggio dei capitani". Oggi è un luogo popolare per le vacanze estive e per ospitare eventi. Potrete riposarvi e rilassarvi passeggiando lungo la spiaggia, esplorando le bellezze naturali della zona sui suoi sentieri escursionistici. L'altra opzione è visitare Altja. Altja è un incantevole villaggio di pescatori sulla costa di Lahemaa. Avrete la possibilità di vedere le tradizionali case costiere con tetti di canne e camminare sul mare. Durante il tour, solo uno di questi villaggi sarà visitato, a seconda della stagione o delle preferenze del cliente.

The tour was exactly what I was looking for getting out in nature and to see the largest national park in Estonia. We first went to the bog area. She explained all the different types of plants the type of trees, what trees grow where. She explained all the different fruits that could found along the ground, like blueberries and cranberries, and there was one more. I forget the observation deck was nice as we continued. I was to actually change into my swim trunks and jump into one of the lakes in the bog area. The water was refreshing and there were other people in the water with me. We then continued on a small fishing village, which she showed us the coastline how the big boulders arrived in Estonia and also small fishing huts with the gear that the fisherman used to use in the old days. We then continued on to our lunch spot. The food was was amazing and local Estonian food in that area they had a large swing that we are all able to enjoy. Then we went onto a kind of a large property that was that’s been turned into a hotel that had wonderful gardens and fruit trees, and flowers. Then on our way back we were able to see the Jägala waterfalls.
The Spanish “guide” knew absolutely nothing about the excursion. It was not said beforehand that you could bring a swimsuit. At the lunch restaurant, they took a very long time to bring the dishes. It is a shame because the places visited are magnificent.
Wonderful tour with Mari! She was very knowledgeable and kind and made our trip very pleasant. We learnt a lot about Estonian history and culture in one day:) The trip itself was a good first exposure to the Estonian nature and the Lahemaa park. The walk in the bog boardwalk was a unique experience. The driver was also very good and drove us safely back and forth. All in all, a very pleasant trip. Thank you Mari and team.

Absolutely recommended, the bog is an indescribably great experience. The other destinations are also very interesting. The planned lunch was super, the salmon is highly recommended. The tour guide (Kullo) was very dedicated and friendly, knew a lot about the history, and made the day an interesting, exciting, and fun experience. Great job! Important: You can swim in the bog, bring swimwear and towels for that! Something you should have done at least once.

Jorge was very knowledgeable about all things relative to the Lahemaa National Park, Tallinn and Estonia. From start to finish Jorge was enthusiastic, energetic and personable. So happy to have had the opportunity to experience this National Park and some of the natural beauty of Estonia to include Waterfalls, a Bog forest hike, Manor houses and a fishing Village. A compact day but never felt rushed. Highly recommend this tour and Jorge as a Guide!
After being in Tallin for a few days, my wife and I were interested in getting out of the city for a day. This trip to the national park was perfect. The hiking in the bog forest was really nice. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend this tour very highly!
It was a perfect day trip from Tallinn! We learned so many interesting things about Estonia including the language, the food, the basic way of life, flora and fauna not to mention fossils. Just wow! Our guide Stassi was amazing!
