Our tour guide (Luis Argeñal) was fantastic. He was very acknowledgeable. Luis took the time to explain my kids the trails, the animals, the birds, and the time and altitude that the hick would take. Luis made sure that we were safe and he adjusted the pace of the hick to accommodate my kids. The second site that visited was the cherry on top! In the Picacho we saw amazing views of the city and Luis took some time to let my kids to play and enjoy the different playgrounds in the El Picacho park. Overall, the tour and specially our guide was amazing!
Company was a no call and no show. We waited in the hotel waiting area for an hour and no one pulled up. We tried calling the companies phone number but it was a wrong number they had listed.
Wonderful experience. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable, we had the absolute best time. The forest is so beautiful and the waterfall is spectacular.
The rainfall and the winery by far was sooo amazing. Our guide was very informative and an excellent leader. Would rate him a 10/10.
I and my two friends had a truly memorable and enjoyable experience with Hernan and his La Tigra Tours. From the beginning he communicated very well, as there was a lot of rain in the morning and it was possible he would need to cancel. However, the rain lessened and he came by our hotel very quickly. Even simply riding in his immaculate Land Cruiser was a positive experience. The hike to La Cascada was of moderate intensity, but Hernan was in great shape and could adapt to difference speeds. After the hike, the stop at the blackberry farm for warm drinks and food was a perfect choice. I would, and specifically plan to, utilize Hernan’s services again, and I would recommend La Tigra Tours to all my friends and colleagues.
I was with La Tigra tours for my entire three days in Tegucigalpa - the city tour, the night vista tour, and La Tigra-El Picacho Park & Nueva Armenia. All the tours were excellent and I could not have better things to say. They were all reasonably priced, well organized and amenable to changes-additions as needed because of timing or weather. Would highly recommend using this tour operator. It is a shame not more tourists come to Tegucigalpa as there is a lot to see here, and yes it is safe...just be smart.
Lucy our tour guide was knowledgeable and made the day enjoyable. She was able to do the tour in Spanish and English. We were in a group of 4 with one other person and were able to plan a day that was enjoyable for all of us. Great way to spend the day when staying in Honduras.
It has trails of various levels, place to camp and stay. You breathe fresh air and now even canopy there is.

A new experience gained from a walk through the cloudy forest. Very different from ordinary rain jungles.

When you reach the picacho a little higher up is a biological reserve called the tigra, it is a reserve with a lot of virgin forest and extraordinary diversity in which just by closing your eyes you can hear the sounds of nature .
