La seconda parte del viaggio copre la bellissima spiaggia di Kanyakumari che è la punta meridionale del subcontinente indiano. È inclusa una corsa in traghetto per visitare la roccia di Vivekananda e la statua di Thiruvalluvar. Le viste spettacolari dell'alba/tramonto qui sono qualcosa che assolutamente da vedere. Il Palazzo Padmanabhapuram, noto anche come Palazzo Kalkulam, è un palazzo dell'era Travancore situato a Padmanabhapuram nel distretto di Kanyakumari nello stato indiano del Tamil Nadu. Il palazzo è di proprietà, controllato e mantenuto dal governo del vicino stato del Kerala. Questo palazzo è più antico del palazzo Rambagh nel Rajasthan. È possibile che sia uno dei palazzi più antichi dell'India. Il palazzo fu costruito intorno al 1601 d.C. da Iravi Varma Kulasekhara Perumal che governò Venad tra il 1592 e il 1609. Questo palazzo è gestito dal governo. del Dipartimento di Archeologia del Kerala. Il complesso del Palazzo Padmanabhapuram è costituito da diverse strutture: Mantrasala; la Sala del Consiglio del Re Thai Kottaram, costruito prima del 1550 Nataksala; la Sala degli spettacoli Un palazzo di quattro piani al centro del complesso Thekee Kottaram; il Palazzo Meridionale.
Una destinazione turistica molto popolare in India, è famosa per l'alba, il tramonto e il sorgere della luna sull'oceano, la statua di Thiruvalluvar di 41 metri (133 piedi) e il memoriale della roccia di Vivekananda al largo della costa e come centro di pellegrinaggio. Situata sulla punta dell'India peninsulare, Kanyakumari confina a ovest, sud e est con il Mar delle Laccadive. Ha una linea costiera di 71,5 chilometri (44,4 miglia) allungata sui tre lati. Sulle rive della città si trova un tempio dedicato alla dea Kanyakumari (la dea vergine), da cui la città prende il nome. Kanyakumari è stata una città sin dal periodo Sangam ed è stata citata nell'antica letteratura malayalam e nei racconti di Tolomeo e Marco Polo.

We had a fabulous day out with Adharsh our tour guide/driver including pick up and drop off from our accommodation. The price includes all admissions to attractions, ferries and parking ensuring that it was hassle free Adharsh is very personal and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble We would throughly recommend this tour.
Mr James and Mr Sarjin were very friendly and knowledgeable about the historic sites we visited. We went to the Padmanabhan palace and Kanyakumari in a comfortable air conditioned car making stops along the way for food and sites of interest. We had a very fulfilling tour and the sites are not to be missed!
Being in the southernmost tip of India and at the confluence of Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal, this place has a special history and significance. Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial adds to the significance. A visit to the centuries old wooden palace on the way is an added bonus for tourists. My tour guide, James and his son, Adarsh, who was the driver made my day particularly pleasant - I have nothing but praise for them. They were very punctual, very polite, good communicators and above all very knowledgeable about the places I visited on this trip. They also were very attentive to all my needs, arranging lunch and refreshments breaks. A very big thank you to both of them.
We spent a terrific day with our dignified and knowledgeable guide James and his nephew who drove. Navigating Kanyakumari with a professional makes all the difference between a smooth visit and chaos!

This is a great trip for anyone wanting to privately explore the two sites of Kanyakumari and Padmanabhapuram Palace! The tour company sent information the day before on WhatsApp after I reached out to them. Our tour guide and driver were prompt, fantastic and took great care of us throughout the day. The guide was knowledgeable and accommodating. The palace was very interesting with historical significance. And Kanyakumari was majestic being the meeting point of 3 water bodies. A lot of time is spent barefoot at these sites so be prepared for that. And make sure to bring bottled water for the drive! Would recommend this for anyone visiting Kovalam or Thiruvananthapuram.
It was a really good visit to the Place, The view and the feeling was amazing , It was a really must visit place, but the cruise service needed a lot of improvement as no proper official was there to guide you, cruise capacity was 131 persons but capacity actually utilized as 200+ persons
We had a lovely day with our tour guide, James, who was a real gentleman and his son Adharsh, who was the driver. They were very knowledgeable and kind and were proud to share their food culture with us. The palace was well worth a visit but we especially liked the visit to the Statue of Wisdom which was really interesting. We would highly recommend this tour.
Poor!! No Management from the ship company! Normal line 75 Rs, Express line ( Fallacy) 300 Rs, people standing in bare sun scorching heat without any shade, breaking line, howling and creating ruckus but absolutely no control from the authorities! Astonishingly when asked the police personnel if there is any paid authorised parking they blatantly refused but when i walked inside i realised there was paid parking!! I don’t know if this behaviour was due to some unknown govt commitments or just a bad approach!! Finally after standing in the line for over 2 hours we gave up the ferry and came out! On walking towards the sunrise point we realised the ferry point was not even 200 meters, a small walkway or bridge could solve the problem! Basically it’s a kind of scam by the ship company!! However it’s a beautiful place but because of poor management from the authorities it’s a no go for families!! And hence the bad review.
