Da Venezia: Wine Tour sui Colli Euganei

Descrizione

Camilla was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and polite. The vineyard experience was top rated, the olive oil experience was something different and to my surprise quite spicy! Would recommend this experience
Hello, Thanks you for choosing our wine and oil experience in the Euganea Hills. We Hope ti have tour with us in future. Team Lovivo Tour Experience
We enjoyed the wine tastings at two wineries, and we definitely learned a lot about the process, which was great. I was a little disappointed that we didn’t learn much history about the region, but it was a good experience overall. We booked last minute, so I didn’t get a chance to look at the tour company’s website until after, when I learned that they charge 3x to book via Viator. I understand charging a little bit more, because Viator takes their cut, but triple? That feels very exploitative. They got us train tickets to the region from Venice and picked us up at the station, both those tickets only cost 10 Euro per person. The guide drove us to two wineries for tastings and back to the train. Definitely not worth $150 per person.
Dear guest, we are sorry to read your review because there are some inaccuracies. The history of the region has been told (also it is a wine tour and not a cultural tour), presenting cultural places such as the castsello del catajo, the river village of battaglia terme and the Gardens of Valsanzibio with its symbolic meaning. During the tour we also made a quick passage by minivan in the Arquà Petrarca village of which we have told you the basics (even if there is another dedicated tour for this place). The natural/geological history of the Euganean Hills and its effect on local wines has been fully explained by the local producers in the cellar. Furthermore, you have not asked the guide any questions, therefore we cannot detect any lack of explanation in the service provided. Regarding the price, saying that you paid 3x is wrong. Maybe you don't how booking systems like Viator work and the commissions amount. It is not our company that decides to sell the highest price on viator, but like all travel agencies / tour operators, Viator also charges a commission for its service (viator is NOT a non-profit organization). On any online booking site, including booking.com for hotels, you will find higher rates than those found on the hotel site itself. In your specific case, our agency has collected 217.00 euros for your tour, therefore 108.50 euros per person (on our website the tour departing from Venice is even more, 115 euros per person). These 108 euros include the transport by minivan, the guide, the two visits to the cellars and the wine tastings + the cost of the train ticket to Venice (round trip) and the organization service (because we too are NOT a company no profit). The wine tour, departing from Terme Euganee, without viator commissions costs 80 euros. So to say that you paid the triple is wrong because, net of the viator commissions, you paid 28.00 euros more but with the big difference of have included train tickets from Venice which our agency took care of. You paid 155 euros per person, so for each person viator collected 46.50 euros, a total of 93 euros that we did not collect but are viator commissions. We would have appreciated that such doubts regarding the rate had been presented to the guide so she could have explained what is written above. Instead we received no requests for clarification during the tour, neither on the explanation of the area nor on the price. It would certainly have been clearer for everyone.
We met our guide at the train station and she picked us up and showed us around the beautiful country side including many of the villas which were gorgeous. Shortly after she took us to two local wineries where we tried the best wines and conversed with the owners who were also very friendly. I had an amazing time and strongly recommend it to anyone who travels to the area. - Trey Shepherd
Hello, Thank you for your positive review. We were very glad to have you on our excursions. We hope to see you in future. Thank you, best regards, Team Lovivo Tour Experience
We had such a wonderful time on this tour! Communication with the tour guide ahead of time, the train from Venice (which was included in the price), pick up, and drop off was all very easy. The two wineries we toured were lovely and the local wine we tasted was fantastic. We had a few delicious snacks at each place as well, and we got to hear not only about the grapes and wine but the stories and history of the wineries and the area too! Everyone was so nice. The only thing we had any issues with was that is was sometimes hard to hear our tour guide when we were driving from one place to another in the van. But she was very nice and willing to repeat herself. Would definitely recommend this tour as a neat way to see the countryside and get out of the city for a day on your Venice trip!
