Verrai prelevato dal tuo alloggio e verrai trasferito alla stazione ferroviaria. Il tuo autista di lingua inglese ti assisterà con il check-in e attenderà fino a quando non sarai salito a bordo del treno per Cracovia. Dopo un viaggio in treno, verrai accolto da un autista locale di lingua inglese e inizierai il tuo tour con il trasporto condiviso per Auschwitz. La visita guidata di gruppo di Auschwitz e Birkenau dura fino a 3,5 ore. Imparerai a conoscere la tragica storia dell'Olocausto. Quindi partirai da Auschwitz-Birkenau per un viaggio di 1,5 ore a Cracovia. Avrai tre ore di tempo libero per vedere la piazza del mercato principale di Cracovia, la più grande piazza della città vecchia medievale in Europa. Nella Città Vecchia, visita la collina di Wawel, dove si trovano la Cattedrale e il Castello Reale, la Torre del Municipio, la Basilica di Santa Maria, il Barbacane di Cracovia e Sukiennice, la Sala dei panni. Vedrai la piazza del mercato principale di Cracovia, la più grande piazza medievale della città vecchia in Europa. Nella Città Vecchia puoi anche trovare la collina di Wawel - con la Cattedrale e il Castello Reale (fino al 1611 Wawel era la sede ufficiale della monarchia polacca - era il luogo delle incoronazioni reali), la Torre del Municipio, la Basilica di Santa Maria, Cracovia Barbican e Sukiennice (Cloth Hall), migliaia di bar e deliziosi ristoranti regionali, molti edifici storici e taxi a cavallo.
Il campo di concentramento di Auschwitz fu fondato dai nazisti tedeschi alla periferia della città di Oswiecim nel 1940. Dopo la guerra, il campo fu trasformato in un museo che espone le prove del genocidio. Blocco n. 11, conosciuto come il Blocco della Morte, era il luogo in cui venivano uccise persone anche presso il “Muro della Morte”. Fuori dal campo si trova una camera a gas, dove furono uccise 70.000 persone nel 1940-1943. Nel 1941, a 3 chilometri da Oswiecim, nell'ex villaggio di Brzezinka, i nazisti tedeschi fondarono un nuovo campo chiamato Auschwitz II Birkenau. Nel 1942-1945, ca. 1,5 milioni di persone vissero e morirono qui. La maggior parte di loro (90%) erano ebrei, altri erano polacchi, zingari, russi e prigionieri provenienti da 28 paesi d'Europa, persone di tutte le nazionalità e convinzioni politiche e religiose. Dal 1944, i trasporti di prigionieri provenienti da tutto il continente entravano direttamente attraverso la “Porta della Morte”. Nel 1979 il campo di concentramento di Auschwitz-Birkenau è stato inserito nell'elenco dei patrimoni culturali e nazionali dell'UNESCO.

The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and she was a trooper to walk, talk and smile in the mix of a horrible and humid day. The taxi driver they got last minute was great but he could not speak English, we were cramped in a sedan for the entire tour, lunch was missing and the people I share the Taxi from from Krakow to the concentration camp was different by 100 Euros, the driver was good but almost 4 hours in the back of a sedan was too much. The initial driver had an inconvenient event and I was waiting for 40 minute to get someone, I have to call twice and despite the fact I was 20 minutes early, nobody apologize. Highlight was the young guy picking me up from the hotel a 6:10m he walked with me to the Centralia Warsaw station and explained everything to me and ensured I was on the right train to Krakow, he was a sweetheart, he was also waiting for me when I arrived at 11:10 PM and drove me to my hotel. Also please ensure you check you Viator text messages as they start communication the afternoon before, but I did not get any email notification and I was answering late.

However, we are deeply sorry that the logistics of your trip from Krakow did not live up to our standards. We owe you a sincere apology for the 40-minute delay and the lack of proactive communication and apologies at that moment. Our initial driver experienced a sudden, serious vehicle breakdown on his way to you. While we scrambled to find a last-minute replacement to ensure you didn't miss the tour, we clearly failed to manage the situation comfortably for you.We understand that the car was not comfortable enough but as it was emergency situation it was better to use it and not loose the visit in Auschwitz. As regards the lunch, we had the information from you too late. We asked to give us the information till 8:00pm the day before the tour and we received your reply at 5:00am on the day tour so there was no possibility to organize the lunch.
This was one of the best day trips we’ve ever taken and an experience we’ll never forget. Everything was well organized, transportation was comfortable, and the schedule was executed flawlessly. We began the day in Kraków, which is an absolutely beautiful city filled with history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture. We had enough free time to walk through the Old Town, enjoy a delicious meal, and soak in the atmosphere. I only wish we had more time because Kraków is a destination that deserves a visit of its own. From there, we traveled to Auschwitz-Birkenau. It was an incredibly moving and sobering experience—one that everyone should witness at least once. Walking through the grounds and learning about the events that took place there is something that will stay with us forever. Our guide was outstanding: knowledgeable, respectful, and compassionate, presenting the history with the dignity it deserves. A huge thank you to our driver and tour guide for making such a long day comfortable, informative, and seamless. Their professionalism and organization were exceptional from start to finish. If you’re visiting Poland and only have time for one day trip, this is the one to book. It’s a long day, but every moment is worth it.

Great an Amazing experience from the start to finish. I even made a life time friend with Stanislaw B. - This is a Must do if you have a full day.
