Armela was the guide for my trip and she was amazing! She is so knowledgeable of both Albania and Kosovo’s history and she is able to answer any question you throw her way. Great tour!
The tour guidr was fantatic and it was two besutiful places. However the bus was billing smoke out on the way back and they suggested we get back in. It was only because we refused to get back on that they called for a replacement. I've given 3 stars as the tour is good but really it should be one star due to the incident with the transport.
We really enjoyed our day trip - Armela, our guide, was very knowledgeable and charismatic. She handled the group really well, and always made time to answer questions. The bus was full but not crowded, and had good AC throughout. We stayed in Pristhina (used this as one way transport, rather than a day trip back to Tirana) which worked really well for us.
This one-day trip to Kosovo from Tirana is a great introduction to the country. You’ll have the opportunity to visit two cities: Prizren and Prishtina. Our guide, Armela, was very professional and helpful. She provided us with interesting insights and useful information about both cities. It’s a very long tour and involves quite a bit of walking, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. The transportation was smooth, and the border crossing/immigration process was quick and hassle-free.
Did a day tour with Ármela and it was the best decision I made. We only had one day, but she made it count. Pristina hitting the Newborn Monument and Imperial Mosque, then over to Prizren. The way she explained things, it never felt rushed even though we covered a lot. Highly recommend. 10/10
Orlanda was my tour guide.Very knowledgable and professional, whoever gets her is lucky.
Excellent tour. Armela was such a thoughtful and engaging tour guide.
I traveled to Kosovo last week with Armela and it was one of my favourite tours from Tirana and definitely the best tour guide I’ve travelled with. Armela was so friendly, entertaining, passionate and knowledgeable that everyone was engaged and involved the whole day. Our first stop in Prizren was beautiful and after an interesting walk around the town we had free time to explore further. Armela made some recommendations and a few of us headed to a traditional restaurant for food - including a dish that was baked in a clay pot and opened with a sword! Wow! We then travelled on to Prishtina where we heard more about Kosovo’s dramatic past and new born beginnings. The monument / artwork to the women who suffered sexual crimes during the war was very moving. Again we had free time to explore this new capital before heading back to Tirana. Despite almost losing her voice Armela did not stop the whole day. She gave clear instructions for meeting times, plan of the day and encouraged us to ask questions. She even took the time after to help us share some of the photos we took at the traditional restaurant in her own time after the tour. Honestly - she was amazing! Thank you so much!
Overall, the tour was well organized, with an interesting itinerary and enough time to enjoy each stop. One area for improvement concerns the guide, Armela. While her explanations were detailed, there were several inaccuracies that often required corrections. I would also suggest a more balanced approach to time management. Punctuality is important, but people are on holiday and should not feel as though they are being treated with excessive rigidity. On one occasion, I was only four minutes late and was already on my way back when the situation was addressed in a way that felt unnecessarily harsh. On another stop, I returned exactly at the agreed time. Good organization and respect for schedules are important, but so are courtesy and respectful communication. A more considerate approach would improve the overall experience.
We absolutely loved this tour. Our guide Armela has an incredible knack for making complex information very easy to understand, and that made the tour so much more engaging. Prizren and Pristina should really be on everyone's bucket list, and I'm glad to have gotten the chance to see them along with a wonderful group of people, including an expert guide. Even though this tour lasted the whole day, it didn't feel like a minute too long. Would have slept in the van and gone again the next day if I could. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to find out more about history in the Balkans and to see one of the most beautiful cities in Europe up close.
