Itinerario
Durante il tour "Il Padrino", partendo da Taormina, camminerete lungo le autentiche pittoresche strade di Savoca e Forza d'Agro rimaste invariate da quando è stato girato il film, visiterete antiche chiese, il famoso Bar Vitelli dove Michael Corleone chiese la mano del padre di Apollonia in matrimonio, la chiesa dove si sposarono, e altre location cinematografiche. Successivamente, potrete gustare un pranzo tradizionale, composto da formaggi di produzione locale, salumi, prosciutto, caponata, parmigiana, olive, olio extravergine di oliva e pane fresco fatto in casa e sorbetto al limone, mentre avrete una romantica vista sul mare dalla terrazza.
La prima tappa è Savoca, una cittadina medievale incontaminata che fungeva da controfigura di Corleone dove Michael si nascondeva durante il periodo "andare ai materassi". Camminerai verso l'antica chiesa di Santa Lucia, dove Michele e Apollonia si sposarono inginocchiati sulla soglia. Quindi segui lo stesso percorso giù per la collina percorso dagli sposi e visita un'altra antica chiesa risalente al XIII secolo. Passeggiando per le favolose strade di Savoca, nelle belle giornate è possibile incontrare anche qualche attore, ad esempio una signora che interpretava la madre di Apollonia e che vive ancora a Savoca. Più tardi, facoltativamente, è possibile visitare un ristorante a conduzione familiare e su una terrazza con romantica vista sul mare degustare vini locali siciliani con piatti tradizionali (formaggi di produzione locale, salumi, prosciutto, caponata, olive, olio extra vergine di oliva, pane fresco fatto in casa, granita al limone fatta in casa - tutto preparato con ingredienti biologici di origine locale - "km0"!).
A Savoca visiterai il Bar Vitelli che appare esattamente come nel film, e vedrai il punto esatto in cui Al Pacino informò il padre di Apollonia che il suo nome era Michael Corleone, e che "ci sono persone che pagherebbero un sacco di soldi per quell'informazione, ma poi tua figlia perderebbe un padre invece di guadagnarsi un marito". Qui è possibile scattare foto con un autentico fucile siciliano "Lupara", vedere le immagini del film e un monumento a specchio per Coppola, godere della vista panoramica sul Mediterraneo che si apre dalla piazza dove è stata girata la scena della cerimonia di nozze, acquistare souvenir Il Padrino, e -"lascia la pistola, prendi i cannoli" - gustare cannoli originali siciliani e granita al limone al Bar Vitelli.
Il tour proseguirà a Forza d'Agro, un'altra splendida cittadina collinare con un legame con il "Padrino". Camminerai per le strade abbandonate ("Dove sono finiti tutti gli uomini?" - "Sono morti per vendette"), esplorerai la storica piazza e vedrai le immagini del film, visiterai antiche chiese, vedrai la piazza dove il giovane Vito Andolini ( più tardi Vito Corleone) sfuggì agli uomini di Don Ciccio nascondendosi in una cesta sul dorso di un asino, cammina fino a vedere i resti di un castello normanno del XII secolo, ammira una deliziosa vista panoramica della costa ionica e assapora lo stile di vita pastorale siciliano rimasto immutato fin dall'antichità.

It’s a great experience for those of us who are familiar with the Godfather movie series. It was fun to walk in the actual settings of the movie. Omar made it extra special and was very attentive to our needs.
Went for The private Godfather Tour and it was truly a memorable experience. If you are a fan of the movie then it is worth a visit. Marco was remarkable. Very detailed, professional and passionate. Took the time to really explain the movie scenes. Lunch was at a quaint little restaurant and the food was just yummy. Overall it was a day well spent.
Bruno was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable taught us not only about the movie but the history of the villages. The scenery was amazing and definitely an excellent choice to enjoy while in Sicily!

Just home from a fantastic visit to Sicily with my wife and I both agreeing that this tour was the highlight of the trip. Carlo was our driver and guide. He was a friendly, knowledgeable and attentive guide and went the extra mile, quite literally on our behalf. Prestelli tours themselves were flexible in allowing us to personalise the tour and Carlo arranged a specific visit that went above anything we could have hoped for and that i'd describe by just saying it blew us away! The lunch included at Gelso Nero Ristorante in Savoca was lovely too. We were also fortunate to have Carlo the following day when we did the wineries tour and it felt like greeting an old friend. Elena was our private guide. She was extremely knowledgeable. She was passionate about her job and it showed. She was very experienced driving in a highly complex terrain. She shared so many details of sights and locations of the filming of the Godfather. She took her time with us and we didn't feel rushed. Our tour couldn't have been any more perfect.
This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Sicily! Bruno was an incredible guide — knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about the history of the area and The Godfather filming locations. He brought the villages of Savoca and Forza d’Agrò to life with great stories about the movie, the real Sicilian history behind it, and local culture. Walking through the same streets where scenes were filmed and visiting Bar Vitelli was such a fun and memorable experience. The views throughout the tour were absolutely stunning, and finishing the day with a delicious Sicilian lunch with appetizers and pasta made it even better. Bruno made the entire day feel relaxed, personal, and truly special. If you’re visiting Taormina and are even a little bit of a Godfather fan, this tour is a must — and if you get Bruno as your guide, you’re in for an amazing experience!
Marco, our guide for the Godfather tour, was fantastic. We could not have asked for a better day from start to finish. He was not only a wealth of information about the film and set locations but addressed sensitive topics regarding the mafia with respect and sensitivity. What an amazing tour! Shout out to Marco for showing us around Forza d Argo and Savoca. He was very knowledgeable and was an expert of anything godfather that was shot in Sicily. He gave us a little time to visit the shops in Savoca and to spend time with the neighborhood cats, one who wouldn’t leave his lap! We ended with a lovely lunch of antipasto, pasta, wine, and lemon granita. Was a beautiful and enjoyable day!
Bruno is exactly what you expect from a guide. He is local, speaks the language, knowledgeable, does the driving and PARKING and is very likable. He is a Godfather insider and even introduced us to local actors who were in the film. Lunch was top notch.
