The Bromo tour itself was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it. However, there is a major concern I want to share: the minibus driver that took us from the hotel to the Jeeps area was driving absolutely crazy on the highway; going between three lines which are full of trucks and reaching very high speeds beyond the authorized limits by far. I don’t blame the driver himself because I’m sure he works under strict schedule from his employer and needs to make up for any delay from travelers that don’t show up on time for their tour, but then why not simply organize the pickup 30mins or even an hour earlier?? I would definitely rather wait one hour in Bromo enjoying the time before sunrise than risk my life (and the risk was really high because the road was full of trucks). I hope the agency takes this comment seriously before a disaster happens..
We joined the Mount Bromo Sunrise Guided Tour from Surabaya, and it was truly unforgettable. The early start was absolutely worth it — watching the sun rise over the mountains with Bromo emerging from the mist was breathtaking. The hike up to the crater was tough at times, but incredibly rewarding once we reached the top and looked into the volcano. Our guide, Luqman, made the whole experience even better. He was reliable, friendly, and very knowledgeable, sharing interesting stories and information throughout the trip. You could tell he genuinely loves being a guide, and little touches like offering cappuccino and tea made the day feel even more special. Overall, everything about the tour exceeded our expectations. It was challenging, beautiful, and memorable — an experience we’d recommend to anyone visiting the area.
This tour is only going to Mount Bromo and does not include the waterfall, so it is suitable for all the people flying off before let's say 3 pm. The tour was well organized but what made this tour worthwhile was my tour guide Angga. I gave the company a difficulty in organizing my tour as I set the departure point in a kind of restricted area. My driver was thinking all day how to sort that out and figured, the best solution would be to accompany me for dinner and bring me to the place and wait there before I came out again. So instead of at 1 am my tour actually started at like 6 pm - that is client service worthy of more than 5 stars to be quite frank. We had a great conversation for much of the time and it was Ramadan so as we had dinner together it was quite something important for him as well. During the journey I learned quite some things about history and politics - Anggar was quite knowledgeable. When we arrived we slept a bit in the car before heading up the mountain with the 4x4. At the final stop we had a snack (great jasmine tea and fried banana) before walking 20 minutes in absolute darkness and coldish weather to a view point - Anggar knew exactly which place wasn't packed and had a great view. Then we went on to have a walk (without Anggar he deserved some sleep) to the crater. A unique experience seeing and hearing. And we then had breakfast at a lodge
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your incredible experience with us! We’re deeply grateful for your kind words about the tour, and especially about Angga — we’re lucky to have him on our team. It's heartening to hear how he went above and beyond to accommodate your special request and ensured you were well taken care of, even starting the tour earlier to match your schedule. That level of care and dedication truly reflects the kind of service we strive to provide. We're also glad you enjoyed the conversations, the shared dinner during Ramadan, and the insights into local history and culture. Those genuine, human connections are what make travel so special. Your vivid description of the Bromo sunrise hike and crater visit is exactly the kind of meaningful memory we hope our travelers take with them. Thank you again for your trust and generous feedback — we’d be honored to welcome you again for your next adventure in Indonesia.
