Da Surabaya/Malang: Monte Bromo Alba - Ijen Blue Fire 2D1N

The tour was absolutely amazing ! First because the landscapes were breathtaking, but above anything thanks to the great quality of the guide (Hirman) and the driver (Takim) ! They were thoughtful and always had a lot to share about the local culture ! The accommodation and food were great, and as a solo female traveler, I never felt in danger or uncomfortable whatsoever Thank you so much for that unforgettable experience !

The two-day day trip is a bit tired, but you can see a lot of beautiful views, especially the stars in the evening are really beautiful (luckily you can still see meteorites😍) (recommend everyone to use the rest of the day after drinking coffee in the village and call the guide to take you to see the stars), I am happy to choose a two-day night trip that can fill the eyes. The overall arrangement of both hotels, trips, meals are well prepared, and the break between the Volcano Bromo and the middle of the volcano is enough, so you just need to prepare your eyes to enjoy the beauty of the volcano. (The volcano does require some physical strength, but mountain climbing guides and guides will adjust the pace to take care of you, so there are no problems 👍🏻) Our guide is med, Chinese is very long and nice and responsible, along the way will also tell you about the history and stories of the volcano. As for taking photos, whether you are a solo trip or an old and young family, you don't have to be afraid of shooting badly, because med is really very serious to help you shoot 👍🏻🤣, shooting will also ensure that you are satisfied to go. This time, one person took part in a two-day night trip between Mt. Bromo and Mt. Ijen, accompanied by a guide and a driver throughout the trip. The tour guide is very lively and speaking, also very careful, the whole journey arranged well, the care for me is quite careful, so that I can almost not worry about anything, just relax and enjoy the trip. I was also impressed by the accompanying tour of Isin Volcano (sorry the name is not very spelled). Since there are many sandy and stone fragments on the volcanic trail, the road is more smooth, I rarely slipped several times, and I was very attentive to my condition along the way, and I was temporarily arrested, helping me to maintain my balance, which can be said to have saved me several times. In addition, he was very enthusiastic to help me take pictures, not only did he take a lot of photos, and each one was very beautiful, leaving me with many precious memories. This was such an excellent experience! Ikhsan was our guide for our 2D1N trip to Bromo and Ijen and he was amazing, telling us about the local area, explaining the trip, and keeping the energy levels going especially so early in the morning. We had a private car, and Everything is covered in the fee, and once pick up was arranged we didn't have to think about anything other than getting ourselves to the top of Bromo and Ijen. Couldn't recommend this experience more if you are visiting Java! Ikhsan also knew all the best spots for views and photos, so we got the best out of our trip. Amazing experience, tough physically but guide and driver were both awesome

The experience was amazing. We saw many sights I had never seen before. Our tour guide was an amazing help too. He gave us factual information about the places we visited and conversed with us while waiting, allowing us to learn more than we paid for.

A great trip with Cheap Bromo. Friendly and thoughtful guides and driver. The main guide Bara was really a gem and very sweet. They were accommodating and did not insist on a really rigorous schedule, which was great because I could take photography at my own pace and linger at a scenic photo opportunity without any pressure. . They were also helpful taking pictures for me. Also appreciated the restaurants that they selected, which offered not only a good range of food choices but very authentic dishes. Very happy we weren't forced into places serving Western food and really got to experience a vast selection of treats. (Definitely try the fruits from the farm stands outside the trail to Ijen violcanic blue lake.)

Our two day, one night trip to see Semeru, Bromo, and Ijen was an unforgettable experience, and the Cheap Bromo team made the entire journey smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable from beginning to end. We arrived around 9 PM and were picked up in a clean, comfortable vehicle at the agreed upon time by genuinely kind and attentive young guys who cared about making sure we had a safe and memorable trip. The entire experience felt like an affordable way to visit some of Indonesia’s most extraordinary natural wonders without sacrificing comfort, flexibility, or good hospitality. The itinerary was excellent. On the first day we viewed Semeru and Bromo, followed by an authentic Indonesian lunch at Bromo Escapes and dinner at Lestari Masukan. The ginger brown sugar tea at Bromo Escapes was incredible — unlike any sweetness I’ve ever tasted, with a rich herbal flavor. Our primary guide, Bara, was outstanding throughout the trip. He is a classically trained musician, very eloquent, and genuinely interested in making sure guests had the experience they wanted. He was accommodating with our requests for extra time at scenic locations. My wife spends extra time composing and taking landscape photographs, and Bara was always patient and helpful without ever making us feel rushed. We stayed at Grand Harvest Resort before the early morning Ijen hike and blue flame experience on day two, and brunch there afterward was another highlight. The drive from the Bromo area to Ijen is quite long, with many narrow two-lane roads and potholes, so future travelers may want to discuss whether they prefer shorter dining breaks in exchange for more sleep. Bara and Anton were accommodating when we requested an extra hour of sleep until 1 AM before the Ijen climb after taking longer meal and photography stops during the prior day. During the Ijen portion of the trip, our guide Hollis was thoughtful and attentive. At one point he even held my wife’s hand on the trail because her sneakers did not have enough traction. The guides also knew how to work around the lines and where to position us for the best photographs at the volcano viewpoints and blue flame area. The restaurants selected by the Cheap Bromo team were surprisingly high quality and fully included. We had heard people say Malaysian food is the best in Southeast Asia, but i have to say we had several excellent and memorable meals rivaling Malaysian food while in Indonesia.
