What an amazing trip! It was our first time in Sorrento and Pompeii. Elisa made us feel welcome and always check on everybody when we got back on the bus. It’s a loooong trip but is definitely worth it. Francesco the tour guide in Pompeii was knowledgeable and so funny. We had so much fun and will definitely recommend this tour to our friends.
The visit is fine if it weren't for the timing. In Sorrento 1h to see it (there's no time for anything). Next, a visit to a shop, supposedly to see how limoncello is made, but the machines are turned off; our guide gives us the explanation of what the process is, so what you see is the shop. Stop to eat in Pompeii and then the visit to the city, and this is where I have a complaint and where I feel disappointed. The guide Manuela took us very quickly and didn't give us time to see almost anything; I understand that it's hot and that they work under time constraints, but it's not normal to see the houses, brothel, basilica, and museum as if you were in a race. I paid to see, not to run. So my assessment is that I would not return to this type of excursion. Tiziano and Jean Carlos, a 10/10 guide and driver!
Tiziano Tour Guide and driver Giancarlo. Little time in each place (Sorrento 1h free time, Pompeii 1h with a guide, Marina); you don't enjoy the experience. You can't stop to look at absolutely anything in detail, not the museum nor the different rooms of Pompeii; the visit was carried out without the guide stopping to wait for the group, which scattered on several occasions. The radios lose coverage with every wall, losing the explanations. The visit to the Limoncello factory is stopped; you visit a shop. Lunch on the run, 45 min and of low quality. The hours on the bus on the road aren't worth it when you only get to enjoy 2 hours of the places to visit.
A fantastic experience, Tizziano is a charming, kind, and attentive person, always looking out for everyone and everything.. Jean Carlos gave us a wonderful trip without any setbacks. We had a spectacular day and we are leaving with a lot of information about Pompeii and Sorrento. Thanks for this great day!!
Tiziano is a good guide and has accompanied us the whole trip great, plus Gian Carlos the driver is clearly experienced and we felt quite safe, but it is true that the visit is somewhat fast, in Sorrento we were barely 1h, later we went to the Limoncello factory where we were 20 minutes, finally we went to Pompeii, and there he left us in the hands of Manuela, guide of the Pompeii archaeological park and resident of the city of Pompeii, we did an express visit, we feel somewhat confused because we saw everything very quickly without barely stopping almost anywhere, we didn't see the museum in barely 5 minutes but then in the souvenir shop we were more than 5 minutes, perhaps if you want to see all of Pompeii this is not your excursion.
In general very interesting and productive, the guide and the driver were very good at their job and at fulfilling their duty.
Tiziano was a grest guide. Very friendly!
You need 12 hours of one day to see 50 minutes of sorrento and 1:30 hours to pompei, a poor travel to a lot of time.
Elissa was the main guide, she did a great job during the trip, keeping us organized and on time for restrooms breaks and water availability at the bus. She explained several fun facts and history about Italy on the way. She was so much fun and also took us to a nice spot for a view of Sorrento. We had Franchesco as a guide for Pompeii visit, he also did a good job. The pace was fast but the whole trip takes a long time so I guess that’s the only way to do it. Driver was very careful and kept the vehicle impeccable, great Ac at the bus was so needed with the August heat. Overall great experience for my family (traveled with a 12 year old).
Too many hours for what there is to see.
