Da Reykjavík: tour di un giorno per piccoli gruppi di Snaefellsnes e Kirkjufell

The tour company nor the guide can manage the weather, but a great guide will have insights and information to make you forget the weather is obscuring the views. Sadly, I don't feel that was the case here. I also don't really like when the guide is the driver, as it really takes away from any between-stop commentary. Overall, this was a great tour if you simply want a stress-free way to get Instagram shots of "the" sights on the peninsula. If you want culture, history, or other information bring your own guide book or audio guide. Given the weather, there was plenty of time at each stop to see what there was to see. Jakob was pleasant and responsive, and while he was personable, I don't think he really added much besides telling us how long we would be to the next stop, how long at the stop, and the name of the stop. He did have some anecdotes and for the first hour of the drive had some information on the politics and history. After that introduction, he was mostly informing of the names and duration of stops. The bus was full, but not terribly cramped. There were ample stops for bathroom and snacks.

I was hoping to see some charming little villages but this is not that. nonetheless, it was a great day of sightseeing even with the rain. so many different landscapes! best to bring your own lunch/ protein as lunch stop is 30 min with few choices. our guide, alex, was a great driver and very interesting. a long day that will really show you a lot!

We expected a full day tour with a guide who would educate us on Iceland. We did not receive that at all. We had a driver that did not speak or acknowledge us. The itinerary described us with stops at a coastal town to visit a local coffee shop, but rather we stopped at a gas station off of the interstate. The churches were very underwhelming and the entire tour was just very boring. There are many other places that we passed by that looked much more interesting and would have been much more enjoyable for everyone. I truly feel that whoever plans out the itinerary could have done a much better job.

Wonderful tour of the Peninsula. Experienced natural wonders and historic churches. Wildlife including coastal birds and seals. Got thoroughly drenched in spite of rainproof clothes. Guide Francesca was friendly and engaging. Shared many stories and drove safely. Offered chocolates as a farewell present. Great way to end our week-long stay in iceland!

The Snæfellsnes Peninsula really is "Iceland in a nutshell" and we saw everything with great pleasure. The black beaches (not so impressive as Reynisfjara, but very beautiful), the small simple churches, the seals, the small villages, the impressive Kirkjufell mountain made our day. We even had some sun to make our pictures even more awesome. Again, the guide didn't rise to the occasion. He pick up us with 15 minutes late (after 8:30) and then, having not found one of the tourists at his pick up point, the whole bus had to wait in a gas station, at the outskirts of Reykjavik, for that late passenger to arrive! I'm sure it wasn't the guide's fault for not finding the tourist at the pickup point, but to have the whole bus waiting, after just left, that wasn't at all nice! The guide (whose name I don't know) would better be called a "driver" and not a guide. He even managed to change a tire that went flat exactly when we arrived at Kirkjufell. So, a good driver but not at all a guide. He almost didn't speak. Fortunately, the scenery, the weather and the fact that we were in holiday saved the day.

Great way to see so much of west iceland in one day and capture an amazing variety of views. Our tour guide (Dovi) was incredible and so thoughtful with all the added stories and history and background during the trip. It’s a long day but beyond worth it.

Such a great tour from start to finish! The views were absolutely unreal, and every stop felt different from the last. It was one of those days where you just keep saying “wow.” Our guide was awesome .I learned so many interesting facts throughout the day without it ever feeling like a history lesson. The whole trip was really well organized, the timing at each stop was perfect, and I never felt rushed. Seeing the seals in the wild and exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula was definitely a highlight of my Iceland trip. Would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland!

What an incredible day! It was a long tour with plenty of stops, but we saw and experienced so much that every km felt worth it. Monica was an amazing guide - patient, knowledgeable, and always helpful. She kept the group engaged throughout the journey and made the long drives feel effortless with her warmth, energy, and great stories. Thanks to Monica, the day flew by and became one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended!

Well worth it for beauty and history and information about Iceland . Guide was knowledgeable beyond a normal person from Iceland.
