We had a lovely trip to Sirmione in the boat. The guide & captain guided us around the ruins, before setting us ashore in the town. We had ample time to see the sights and visit the castle (ticket not included). However the castle is always closed om Mondays, so we didnt get to do go in. There should have been a note of this in the presentation, as we could have chosen another day. But easy to find the meetup point in the main harbor and very friendly staff.
Nice guide, told us a lot about the local history.
Excellent trip , fast boat , got to see everything we wanted and more , boat drivers English not the best
The guide was great and the water was good. Beautiful village
TERRIBLE ! Unprofessional and disorganized, do NOT recommend. We showed up 15 minutes early...and then 10 minutes after we were supposed to depart, nobody was there. I started asking random people and finally a person said: "oh can you please come back tomorrow? it's cancelled today". They NEVER contacted us to let us know it was cancelled. We traveled into Garda just for this and they just completely wasted our time and money traveling there. Sure they refunded us for booking, but what a complete waste and terrible experience. They claimed the weather was bad, but there were HUNDREDS of boats taking off and the weather was perfect (see pictures). In any case, poor weather doesn't excuse their unprofessionalism and disregard for our time.
Great afternoon trip! Informative and fun!
The boat ride was extremely pleasant. It was a relatively small boat that could accommodate a maximum of 10 people. For those who prefer a more intense riding experience, this boat is ideal, as you feel the waves more distinctly. The crossing to Sirmione was enjoyable. The captain provided some information about Sirmione, but this alone would not be the main reason to book this tour. Upon arrival in Sirmione, we were asked if we wanted to go swimming. Due to the unfavorable weather, all participants of the boat tour agreed not to go into the water and instead spend more time on land in Sirmione. We had about two to two and a quarter hours available, a time span in which one can explore Sirmione extensively. However, the time was too short for museum visits or to see the grotto. We only looked at the castle (entrance 10€ per person). The town was excellent to explore on foot. The return trip was also pleasant. No further attractions were explained, as this had already been done on the way there. A wine was served as an aperitif in a plastic cup along with some nuts, nothing more. The price of €60 seems rather high for this; each person must judge this for themselves. Since this was a gift for my girlfriend, the price did not matter to me. However, I can imagine that the extent of the service might be perceived as somewhat too expensive by some individuals. Nevertheless, all promises of this trip were kept, and it was, as mentioned, a good boat ride for us.
Lovely way to spend an afternoon on z lake Garda. Peschiera del Garda is only a 20 min train ride from Verona
BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY. We did not receive any of the features advertised for this tour. 1. It was not a 2.5 hour cruise. The actual boat ride was only about 1 hour total (2 × 30 minute trips). 2. There was no informative commentary. I asked the captain if he spoke English and he said no. 3. We were left in Sirmione for 2.5 hours despite being told 1 to 1.5 hours, which completely disrupted our plans. 4. There was no swim stop. 5. The boat was not the same as the one shown in the advertisement, run-down boat with a very loud engine. ( pic with the boat name attached) Overall, this felt more like a water taxi to and from Sirmione than a sightseeing cruise. We did not receive what was advertised and it was definitely not worth the price charged. BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY
Unfortunately this experience did not match the description we booked. The tour was advertised as a 2.5-hour boat tour with commentary, free time in Sirmione (1–1.5 hours), a swim stop and an aperitif. In reality, the majority of the afternoon was spent in Sirmione, where we had over 2 hours of free time, while the actual time spent cruising was quite limited (1 hour total!!). The sightseeing commentary was minimal and there was no swim stop during our trip. Had we known how much time would be spent ashore, we would have chosen a different activity, especially as we were travelling with young children on a very hot day. To make matters worse, the captain injured his hand while docking and continued operating the boat while dealing with the injury. This created an uncomfortable situation and raised safety concerns for us as passengers. Sirmione itself is beautiful, but the tour did not deliver the experience we expected based on the listing. For the price paid, we felt it offered poor value and was misleadingly described.
