Da Parigi a Versailles in bicicletta elettrica: mercato, picnic e castello

Descrizione

Our tour guild aeri was excellent to be with. Was so knowledgeable for us Kiwis (NZ). Was so much fun riding through Paris to get to the Palace of Versailles. Highly recommend.
This was a very long, but rewarding day. Biking through the national park and the tree lined paths was incredible. We had lots of places to stop and rest. The picnic by the grand canal was a great spot to enjoy the atmosphere of Versailles. Our guide was so helpful, he even came prepared with a first aid kit when my son fell and needed a bandage. He was very patient and answered all of our questions. Everyone at the company went out of their way to accommodate and make it a pleasant experience. Only a couple hours at the palace before it closed, but fewer crowds at the end of the day. We really enjoyed getting out of the city and seeing the countryside. It was a great day.
This was a highlight for our family. We got to see parts of Paris we didn’t know about and doing something different than just walking through museums was a big bonus. The trip was mostly in the shade and it was even enjoyable during Paris’s crazy heat wave. Much happier I booked the e-bikes than the pedal bikes. 😅 we loved it all. If you end up going and have space for bike shorts, it might be nice unless you are an avid biker before you go. Definitely book it if you are on the fence.
Momo was our guide and he was fabulous with the bike ride, safety and also the history of everywhere we visited. This trip was definitely the highlight of our entire trip to Paris and Momo was a big part of the trip! It is a MUST!
Momo is an amazing guide! Both the bikes and bike lanes are well-maintained and the bike ride is well-organized. I did my ride in the morning during a heat wave, but even that is pleasant as we go through all the woods. The palace of Versailles and the garden is great, but I wouldn’t have know other beautiful sites or picnic by the river if I did the trip on my own. When I did my search, this bike tour came up as the most pricey one, but I think it is totally worth the price for a whole-day trip with all tickets and services included. The group I rode with had two families and two solo riders, and it seems to work for everyone. I would definitely recommend!
The tour itself was great, it was good to see the parks, gardens and palaces. I enjoyed the picnic by the lake. However at the end of the tour, the guide asked for tips, I explained that I read that you do not tip in France and I don’t have cash on me. He became aggressive towards the other woman and I. She gave him 20euro and walked off as he was intimidating her. I explained again that I didn’t have cash on me, he became more aggressive saying that he has PayPal and I can pay him that way. When I replied no I don't use PayPal, he said he’s never had this experience, everyone has always paid him. He then said he can take me to an ATM to get money out for him, I replied no I’m not doing that. As he was increasingly becoming more aggressive and trying to intimidate me I walked away. This experience soured the whole experience, I would recommend the tour, but not the guide.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed the tour itself, including the ride, the gardens, the palaces, and the picnic by the lake. I was very concerned to read your comments regarding the discussion about tipping at the end of the tour. Tipping is entirely optional on our tours and should never be expected or required. I have spoken with the guide involved. Having worked with him for some time, and knowing his long track record of excellent guest reviews, your description of the interaction came as a surprise to me. While his recollection of the conversation differs from yours, I nevertheless regret that you left feeling uncomfortable. At in aeri, we work hard to create experiences that are friendly, respectful, and welcoming from beginning to end. For that reason, I take feedback such as yours seriously and have discussed the matter with the guide to ensure that any conversation regarding gratuities remains completely pressure-free. I am sorry that this final interaction affected your overall impression of what was otherwise an enjoyable day, and I appreciate you sharing your perspective.
Monty was an expert guide in every way. He gave a concise and entertaining history of Versailles and was always mindful of keeping the group together.
The tour was way more fun than I had initially thought going into it. A great way to see Paris and surrounding areas. Seeing the surrounding grounds of Versailles was the best part of Versailles. Would highly recommend
Super fun way to get outside and see the outskirts of Paris and bike into Versailles! Our guide, Momo, was well versed in the area’s history and kept us safely moving through streets and trails. We met at 8:30 and got home at 6:30, so it is a long day, but a fun day! (The timing is somewhat dependent on how long you stay at the Palace and how crowded the train is or whether you take a taxi instead which might be longer if rush-hour.) The market was amazing! We got sliced bread, fresh strawberries, two kinds of olives, hummus, tomato spread, and baklava, and it was delicious. The picnic gave us a 45 min rest about half way through the day, which was appreciated. The Palace and Marie Antoinette’s village is quite large and impressive. I would definitely bring a water bottle which you can refill in a number of encountered places. Overall, Momo was a wonderful guide and interesting person, and he made this trip fantastic. We loved it and would highly recommend booking this excursion.
An absolutely wonderful way to experience Versailles. The cycle route from Paris was easy to navigate and Renauld was an excellent guide. The weather cooperated and shopping for food at the outdoor market allowed us to see an area of the town most tourists bypass. Highly recommend and hope to do again next time we return to the area.
