Beautiful beach day for kids who were tired of seeing ruins and "old stuff". The kids had a wonderful day cooling off and looking for rocks at this wonderful, calm beach. Driver was easy to find at the port, and easy to communicate with when our group adjusted their end time. Would 100% recommend if you want an easy beach day.
The driver Christos was fantastic, but the pictures & details of the excursion were definitely misleading. Kourouta beach was beautiful. Can't believe how big it is! It goes on for miles and miles. Our driver recommended a certain beach bar - Anemos - which was great (excellent food & great service). However, the picture of the excursion shows a bunch of nice Mercedes vans, and they're supposed to pick you up at a certain time, right outside of the port. None of that happened. Our driver finally met us about 20 minutes late outside the port - and he was walking. We had to walk with him about 10 minutes to get to the vehicle, and it was an older Taxi (yes, literally a taxi with a taxi light on the roof). Certainly not the 'high end' Mercedes Van excursion we were expecting & paying for. Very simply, we paid alot for a taxi ride to a beach. The day itself was great, but we probably could've just walked off the ship & paid one of the taxis waiting there for the same thing, at a much lower cost.

I am truly glad you enjoyed your day and the overall experience. However, I sincerely believe that the 3-star rating was based more on a misunderstanding regarding the booking rather than the actual quality of the service you received. The excursion you selected through Viator was the economy option for 1–4 persons, which refers to a private taxi transfer. The Mercedes van option is also available, but only for the corresponding booking category. Therefore, the photos of vans in our listing are not misleading — they simply represent a different vehicle category. I personally confirm this. Regarding the pickup point, the port authority has recently changed the regulations for all transportation companies in Katakolo, which is why a short walk from the cruise exit is now required. That being said, we personally ensured your day ran as smoothly as possible. I was the one who recommended Anemos Beach Bar, as it offers free umbrellas and sunbeds for our guests, unlike most beach bars in the area. I was also in constant communication with your driver to ensure everything was going as planned. The vehicle provided was a legal, modern 2020-model taxi with a professional English-speaking driver, and the service you received was a private, fully organized experience — not simply “a taxi from the rank.” Honestly, on your next visit to Katakolo, I would encourage you to try a standard taxi from the port rank so you can personally compare the vehicle quality, whether the driver speaks English, the actual cost, the time limitations at the beach, the level of organization, the exact drop-off point, and whether anyone will guide you to the right beach bar so you do not end up paying extra for umbrellas and sunbeds. Only then, perhaps, you may better understand the difference between a simple transfer and a properly organized private experience. We fully respect all feedback; however, we believe your overall experience reflects a much better service than a 3-star rating suggests. Communication with this service was outstanding. Our driver Stavros was great. He told us about the area, information about the community and took us ways to see more of the countryside. Everything was very well handled from beginning to end.
Nassos was incredible!! His van was comfortable and air conditioned. He took us to a beach club that was beautiful and affordable. Excellent clean beach!
What a wonderful experience. Our tour guides took us into town did a little shopping and surprised us with an amazing bottle of wine for the rest of trip and took us to an amazing beach for the rest of our trip. AMAZING IS ALL I CAN SAY!
Our day spent at this beach was sooooo wonderful and so relaxing. And our driver .......Andres......was such a sweet young man. He drove us to the beach.....then showed us around..... and then stayed in the area until we were ready to go. We had very good conversation with his. I would highly recommend booking this tour with Andres and his company.
